About The Slip Bar & Eatery

At The Slip, we don't think food at a bar has to taste like bar food. In addition to delicious wings, pizza, burgers, and fries, we offer a Blue Zones certified menu with plenty of healthy and vegetarian choices.

Watch the sun set over Redondo’s King Harbor and choose from over 60 hand-selected beers, plus wine and cocktails. The Slip is family-friendly and we have eight TVs so you can watch your favorite teams. We host an Open Mic every Wednesday and live music on the weekends.

We’re located on the International Boardwalk of the Redondo Beach Pier right below the bike path, making us a perfect stop during a bike ride. Parking is also available in the lot at the apex of Harbor Drive and Pacific.

It was a lovely night to play trivia and celebrate the start of the holiday season!

Rounds 1-3 were pretty straightforward and kept our teams all neck and neck. It wasn't until Round 4 that the leading squads distinguished themselves! Hilariously enough, Pickle Rick did not guess the answer to Round 4 correctly (which was Rick and Morty, the show from their team name). I will forever roast them about it.

Despite failing Round 4, Pickle Rick was a solid group and they managed to snag the first place spot at the end of the night! In second place, Rio Deal trailed by only 2 points, and 1 point behind them was our third place team, 100% That Quiz. It was a close race for all!

See you next week as we continue the FIGHT TO THE DEATH to be in the Tournament of Champions!

Who would've thought that on the Tuesday before Thanksgiving we'd have a packed house at The Slip! I love you all, my regulars! Our King Trivia fam had a great night with some killer questions and tough competition.

Round 3 was a wicked one because so many teams unsuccessfully doubled and set themselves back! Then everyone guessed "Harvard" by the 6-point clue in Round 4, so it was a speedy game overall and we finished before 10PM! Round 6 was SUPER easy and every team (save one) got ALL of the answers correct. There were many doubles that round too, so we saw scores shoot up.

At the end of the night, Quiztopher Walken doubled correctly in Rounds 1, 2,6, and 7 - plus got all the answers correct in Round 5. First place was in their grasp all night! Second place went to beloved regulars Markel after their successful Round 5 & 6 doubles. Third place went to Here For the Right Reasons, who managed to sneak ahead of We Like to Come From Behind by a mere two points!

Have a WONDERFUL Thanksgiving all. I am thankful for such a great Tuesday night crowd. See you all next Tuesday!

The questions were especially difficult this week with Round 5's "Find the Connection" stumping everyone and Round 6's movie-within-a-movie theme leaving many teams at a loss for answers! The "Guess Who" round was similarly difficult, with Emilia Clarke remaining elusive as teams hemmed and hawed over their answers until the six-point clue before they were brave enough to turn in!

Because of the tough questions, the scores stayed low overall. However, the final scores were pretty close for our top teams: Just George took home the bacon with 45 points, and in second, Rio Deal had 42. Third place was a close call between Markel and San Pedrodondans, but Markel managed to squeak by with one more point to take home third.

See you all next week - and in case you leave town, have a Happy Thanksgiving!
