QUIZ RECAP

This was a competitive night! A lot of Underdogs juggernauts came out to play, with everything coming down to the last round...where six out of seven final teams doubled!

The double gave team Donny just what they needed to secure the lead, National Lampoon only three points behind them. The double also gave the Homeless Dude Lovers just the edge they needed to make the top 3.

You gotta love a team that learns from their mistakes.

Fear of Flying, emboldened after a failed double cost them the week prior, got together and got dangerous- doubling so strategically (3 rounds out of 7!) that they ended up demolishing their competitors with a 31-point lead! Congratulations!

Not that they didn't have solid competition; it was a fight to the finish. Newcomers Schmaltz Dackel started with an exceptionally strong lead with 2 out of 3 doubles, but a slip up in the Guess Who? Round cost them the top spot. Even third and fourth were only four points apart, and National Lampoon's Chernobyl Vacation used their coffee savvy to secure their newfound Underdogs Bronze.

Here's a fun secret to trivia: knowledge is only half the battle. It's strategy that can make or break your team.

Look at our champions tonight. Talk Nerdy to Me was going up against a group of strong regulars, but their knowledge of when to double (TWICE in a row) and when NOT to double solidified their lead. Double recklessly sent Fear of Flying back to third place, newcomers National Lampoon's Dominican Republic Vacation to fourth, and the Rural Jurors out the door.
