So this game a had a WILD range of difficulty tonight. Round 1 had four out of six teams doubling successfully...only for all of them to struggle with two or three point max in round 3. This was a wild night.

Thankfully, we got smart cookies here at Underdogs and they got the hang of it quickly. Ginkgo 1997 doubled their way to an impressive 70 points in the final round, with the Number of Homeless Dude Sean has Blown is 69! (Yes, I enjoyed that way too much).

Well done guys! See you next week!

Chaos. Ultimate chaos. Professor Chaos(TM)!?

The VIBE:

What a cool venue! I was lucky enough to take the reins from Quizmaster Joe who was off shooting the end of End Game. True story. Probably.

As I'm used to a much smaller venue (Shoutout to the Little Easy on Tuesdays @730pm!), this was a crazy night....a massive number of 11 teams came out to get rowdy. And a'rowdy they did a'get.

Before Round 1 even started, almost every team had 4 points! This is how they achieved such a feat: they both registered their team AND used a social media check-in. I was shocked at how competitive each team was to make sure they received their bonus points. Haha. I knew right away we were about to have some crazy fun....

The GAME:

Round 1 immediately showed me that Ginko1997 was going to be one of the teams to watch - as they quickly doubled-up and took a 6 point lead.

Picture Round 2 proved that even the most obscure board games have a place in someone's heart as I Don't Know solely doubled-up and thus began their chase for Ginko1997. (Nobody else still believes there is a game called Set).

Round 3 was fun for me because I got to shout out ?Muy Caliente! several times. But let's move on...

Not much changed in Round 4 when I was attacked by several 6 point answers for Guess Who? ...which was John Goodman. Net worth: roughly 65 million.

Round 5 started to get a bit more crazy when Ginko1997 doubled-up again and jumped to their biggest lead of the game with Just The First Round (aka Not Last Place) trailing right behind them...

During the Matching Round 6, we learned that Johnny Depp was/is a celebrity man-whore....and we also learned that our leaders were human after all. After scoring a perfect round - but unsure of how perfect they were - Ginko1997 did NOT double-up and thus finally leveled the playing field for the teams that were chasing them. So moving into the final round our top scores were 62, 57, 56....anybody's game!

Round 7 was a geography round (and thank gawd I wasn't playing)....but teams were going nutso at this point...doubling up just to spite other teams' hopes and dreams. It was lovely. But "there can be only one" champion...

The RESULTS:

By the end of the game two (unregistered) teams had bounced. Probably because they were getting spanked by the fierce competition. So we say goodbye to a couple of good fights by....

The Bald Eagles: We Shit On Everybody (who did NOT shit on anybody) and walked away with 6 points.

Eddy Baker, the a one-man band, throughly enjoyed his 11 points.

And now the mainstays:

Rent-A-Brent, Anime-Niacs, and Almost Okay (who I'd like to give a special shoutout for keeping my in line with their normal rules AND who also won the free beers!) all went for the Hail Mary in the final round....and just barely missed!

Storms A Coming played it safe in the final round and finished with a solid 46 points.

Just barely passing them with a nice last round double-up was Group 2 x 4 = 8

I Don't Know fought hard to take home the non-existing 4th place trophy.

The Number of Homeless Dudes That Sean Has Blown was 66. Which apparently is the exact number needed for 3rd place.

But, even after all this madness, we weren't finished. We still needed...

A TIE-BREAKER!!!

In an unprecedented turn-of-events, Just the First Round doubled-up in the last round - thus matching the 69 points carried by our ongoing leaders, Ginko1997.

The tie-breaker question need an answer in miles....

The actual answer was 3, 567...

BOTH teams guessed in the 3,000 mile range....

But Ginkgo1997 guessed 3, 575.....a mere 8 miles from the answer!!!!

Incredible game. Incredible energy by all teams.

Definitely a finish for the books.

I had a blast. Thanks for letting me join in on the fun!

Back to you, Joe.
