QUIZ RECAP

It was an excellent showing at Cactus Jack's on Wednesday, with Short-Form Memory ultimately taking home the crown with a Threepeat!  Fun was had by all, with the regulars having a close battle and some newbies joining in on the fun!

In the General Knowledge round, Short-Form Memory and Tu Madre started strongly ahead with 5 points each, and 73 Roadkill trailed with only 3. 

The Picture Round featured female rappers, and by daring to Double or Nothing, All the Dicks moved into first place with 20 points! 

In the loser Themed Round, All the Dicks maintained their lead with 24 points, but Short-Form Memory was able to decipher the clues in the Guess Who? Round to be Gwenyth Paltrow long before the only other correct guess (All the Dicks) moving into a very close second place! 

In the playing card themed Round 6, both Short-Form Memory and 73 Roadkill were successful in their attempts to Double or Nothing, bringing Short-Form Memory into a 10 point lead and a second place tie for 73 Roadkill and All the Dicks. 

The SNL themed matching round saw the same two teams Double or Nothing and win again, putting them in solid 1st and 2nd Place, and the famous painter question for Round 7 proved to not move anyone too far ahead. 

Short-Form Memory and 73 Roadkill both took home giftcards, and I hope to see everyone again soon!

QUIZ RECAP

Despite the ominous weather forecast, a great group turned out for trivia on the Cactus Jack's porch!  The rain clouds rewarded us by holding out until the end of the game, and the trivia gods rewarded us with a very close game!

Short Form Memory started strong, earning five points in the General Round, and they continued their lead into the Informercial Picture Round with 11 points, while The Funky Pugs moved into a close second place with 10. 

Round 3 saw everyone move onto the leaderboard, with King Gizzard and the Wizard Lizard, EVG Avs, and Proud Heretics having 12 points each, and The Funky Pug, Short Form Memory, and All the Dicks in first place with 13 points.

Most teams correctly guessed Ozzy Osbourne in the Guess Who Round with the 4 point clue, but the Find the Connection round saw Short Form Memory return to first place with five points more than the closest team, King Gizzard and the Wizard Lizard. 

Using their knowledge of Late Night bits, All the Dicks overtook King Gizzard and the Wizard Lizard for second place, but a perfect round 7 of naming the Executive Departments in the President's cabinet kept Short Form Memory in first place!

QUIZ RECAP

It was a crowded and lively night at Cactus Jack's this fine late-August Wednesday and everyone wanted to play trivia!  Truly ideal conditions for a great game, if you ask me.

73 Roadkill and Pairs Well with Crackers started out strong with 5 points apiece in the general knowledge round, but the war film-themed Picture Round saw Jersey Joe's Alpaca Farm join 73 Roadkill for the lead with 11 total points each (Jersey Joe's managed to get all but one correct this round!).  The Hollywood-themed Round 3 put 73 Roadkill solidly in first place, but Short-Form Memory caught up in the Guess Who round thanks to their keen knowledge of Naomi Osaka's childhood.  

While no one was able to find the Purple connection in Round 5, 73 Roadkill managed to earn 8 points that round and take back their lead, but the sports-themed Handout Round saw Short-Form Memory get within one measly point.  

By Round 7, it was just about anyone's game.  But Short-Form Memory managed to pull ahead of 73 Roadkill and steal the lead with a single point more.
