QUIZ RECAP

It was a rousing night of King Trivia at Cactus Jack's on an unusually warm night in Colorado.  Regular teams 73 Road Kill and Whiskeypedia came out, as well as one of the Dicks (unfortunately all could not make it) who joined forces with Road Kill for the evening.  But new contenders, The Ginger Mice, were ready to make the evening even more competitive!

The Ginger Mice started strong as the only team to earn any points in the General Knowledge round.  This put them in great position to maintain their lead after the Picture Round, where 73 Road Kill and Whiskeypedia found themselves in a tie for second.  The Themed Round saw no major movement on the scoreboard, as The Ginger Mice maintained their lead and the other two teams stayed tied, and the Guess Where? round saw everyone chime in with the correct answer at the same time! 

Despite the teams being fairly evenly matched, someone had to come out and take the win eventually.  Whiskeypedia played a strategic Double or Nothing on the Find the Connection round giving them a strong first place, but 73 Road Kill responded with an equally strong Double or Nothing in the college football themed Matching Round. 

Ultimately, 73 Road Kill took the first place title thanks to their knowledge of state capitals and Charles Dickens ghosts in the List Round, but a great time was had by all!

QUIZ RECAP

It was a chilly night outside in Evergreen, CO, but inside Cactus Jack's it was a cozy, warm, and fun filled night of trivia.

Whiskeypedia came out with a strong lead early by successfully winning their double or nothing bet on the General Knowledge round.  The Picture Round proved relatively easy for every team, with no movement in the standings after that round, but both 73 Road Kill and All the Dicks made a double or nothing bet in the school supply Themed Round and did not come out winners, earning Whiskeypedia an even stronger lead.

It took quite a few clues, but every team was able to correctly guess Ray Romano in the Guess Who round.  The Find the Connection round saw another strong gain from Whiskeypedia, but the Matching Round saw both Whiskeypedia and 73 Road Kill win their double or nothing bet.  While this kept Whiskeypedia in the lead, 73 Road Kill now had a solid points advantage over All the Dicks for 2nd place.

In the final List Round, every team showed solid knowledge of Wii Sports and American Idol, but none strong enough to oust Whiskeypedia from their top spot.  They won the first place gift card, and 73 Road Kill left with their hard earned second place gift card. 

Hope to see everyone back next week!  It was a great group, and wonderful way to spend a night in during the cold nights in the mountains of Colorado.

QUIZ RECAP

Another awesome night of trivia at Cactus Jack's!  Three returning teams came to battle it out for gift cards and of course, bragging rights.

All the Dick's came out strong with a successful double or nothing play on the General Knowledge round, but Whiskeypedia also got every question right, putting them in a solid second place.  The headline themed Picture Round kept All the Dick's in first, and the circus Themed Round saw 73 Roadkill pull into a tie with Whiskeypedia. 

Everyone struggled with the Guess Who Round, but both Whiskeypedia and 73 Roadkill were able to guess Flavor Flav by the final clue, keeping them neck and neck heading into round 5.

Every team tried their hand at a double or nothing in the Find the Connection Round, but only Whiskeypedia got one question wrong, giving them 0 points for the round as opposed to the 20 of All the Dick's and 73 Roadkill. 

Every team did incredibly well naming platonic pairs from tv shows in the Matching Round, earning 9 points a piece, but the Shakespeare themed List Round proved difficult, and despite a valiant effort, 73 Roadkill was unable to pull ahead of All the Dick's, instead landing in a very respectable second place.

It was awesome to see so many friendly faces this week, and I hope to see everyone back next week!
