QUIZ RECAP

Another excellent night of King Trivia at Cactus Jacks's! 

Two teams entered and both teams won (perks of a 1st and 2nd place prize).  All the Dicks took an early lead in the General Knowledge round, but despite successfully doubling their points in the New York themed Picture Round, Whiskeypedia was able to end the game only 12 points behind, a pretty impressive feat if you ask me!

QUIZ RECAP

It was a ~ spooky ~ night at Cactus Jack's for the Halloween edition of weekly King Trivia!  Phil & the Buttercups arrived in costume ready to slay the night, and slay they did!

They started with a strong lead in the General Knowledge round, but All the Dick's were able to overtake them with their extensive knowledge of cartoon villains in the Picture Round.  

Both Phil and the Buttercups and All the Dicks got all correct answers in the Halloween Themed Round, and all three teams correctly guessed Sharon Osbourne in the Guess Who round, although Phil and Buttercups were the only ones to guess with just the 10 point clue.  

Every team had an excellent showing in the Clue themed Find the Connection Round, with The Pickles nailing 9 out of 10 answers and the other two teams missing only 2 a piece.  The Handout Round proved a little difficult for everyone, which meant it was truly anyone's game by the last round.

Luckily for Phil, one of his Buttercups was Minnie Mouse, and they were able to name the most themed lands at Disneyland Park for the List Round and take an easy lead!

It was a super fun night celebrating my personal favorite holiday, and I look forward to another great trivia game next week.

QUIZ RECAP

It was a rowdy night of trivia at Cactus Jack's with five teams joining in on the fun! 

Phil & the Buttercups took an early lead in the General Knowledge round, and everyone did well in the SNL themed Picture Round, but the tables turned in the Heroes and Villains Theme Round with Furries playing a successful double or nothing and taking the lead!  Unfortunately, Phil & the Buttercups took the same bet and lost, earning no points in this round due to one measly incorrect answer. 

Everyone was able to successfully guess Macaulay Culkin in the Guess Who Round, but Phil & the Buttercups were the only team to correctly guess the Gold theme in the Find the Connection round, making up many of the points from their failed double or nothing.  Furries were able to successfully double their points AGAIN in the Handout Round putting them in a solid lead heading into the final List Round.  In a triumphant feat, Phil & the Buttercups managed to pull into second place for the final standings, taking home a gift card along with Furries.
