Another packed house tonight at King Leroy! Standing room only yet again!

We had a blast with the questions this evening. Round 1 was harder than usual, but we had an amazingly artsy crowd who blew me out of the water with their Round 2 answers. Except the team who answered “idk he should have signed bigger”. HA! Yes, that would have been a good hint, huh??

This game is officially the second time I’ve heard of Larry David referred to as the “Bald Guy.” I can’t help but laugh because that sounds like an actual Curb OR Seinfeld bit. Very on brand. 

Cue to me furiously googling another team’s answer…. was Anthony Hopkins on Curb Your Enthusiasm?

The answer is no. Definitely not. Where they got that guess from? I have no idea. I couldn’t help but giggle

Team Goldilocks and The Bare Bears nailed it on Round 3, especially when they were the only team to pull off the Melba answer! Australian Pate named after an opera singer? Who knew? (Well they did!)

All in all, another fantastic evening in the books!

Top o’ the morning to ya from the very (not) Irish sea town of Seattle!

The Irish theme throughout the night was good fun for everyone involved, although I think Seattleites might need to brush up on their Irish history! However almost no one faltered on got the Stanley Cup question, because hockey is a religion up here. Except for Team Alliance, who, as a team after my own heart guessed “Doritos”. Doritos are a fabulous prize indeed, just not for hockey.

I think St. Patrick would have been horrified, and Oscar Wilde delighted that Team Clarkies and The Fellers mixed the two up. But one guess was “ur mom” and I think Oscar Wilde would have been horrified to be compared to my mother!

I can’t imagine what some people were trying to spell on the Find The Connection round, but it was about 50/50 as far as people figuring it out went! That being said, I played plenty of celtic punk and drinking songs during this round, so we had fun regardless!

Here at King Leroy,

It was Elise’s last night.

Our bartender extraordinaire,

about to take flight!

So the vibes were buzzing, 

the crowd was riled up,

Marty McFly in his Deloreon 

couldn’t even keep up.

Clarkies pulled ahead 

as they usually do,

With team Highlighter battling as

a close number two.

It was a fight for the win 

from start to finish,

But the teams here to have fun,

I’d never diminish.

Silly answers abounded 

for the billionaire question,

It’s almost as if 

we are in a recession!

The artsy finale 

was a good way to end,

Until we all meet up

for trivia again!
