THE OFFICE THEMED EVENT AT LAST NAME BREWING RECAP

Tonight it was all about bears, beets, and Battlestar Galactica!  It was Last Name Brewing's The Office themed night and we had 12 teams take a stab at the glory.  As the game progressed it became clear that there were 4 teams that knew their stuff, with Threat Level Midnight taking an early lead thanks to a round 2 Double Down.  However, Perfektennschlag channeled their inner Dwight perfection and took over after Round 4 and never looked back eventually amassing an insurmoutable lead, thus taking the top spot.  That's what she said!  tried to make it interesting in the end with a couple of successful double downs but the best they could muster was a 3rd place finish.  For the drinking round the teams had to summon their inner Dunder Mifflin Accountant and answer 5 questions correctly that all dealt with various numbers from the Office.  Perfektenschlag again dominated answering all 5 questions exaclty correct!  Congrats to all teams tonight for proving why television is such a powerful medium!

QUIZ RECAP

Tonight at Last Name we saw some early double down opportunities as we had teams confident about their general knowledge and shadowy Disney characters. Then the middle rounds struck!  Some teams faired well while others rode the struggle bus. However, Ps and Cs rolled right along to first place in round 3 and stayed there for the rest of the game-even through the weird word round that had teams giving me the dirtiest of looks.  Congrats to Ps and Cs for their first place finish and to The Babysitter Called for a close 2nd place finish as they nearly took it all. For the beer round Mad Mad Mad Mad World correctly guessed the number of days the Harrison presidents served in office.  They were only off by a day!  See you next week for The Office themed trivia night.

QUIZ RECAP

There were best kisses matching, famous Sams and lots of other movie based knowledge tonight at Last Name Brewing. There were also a ton of teams that held the top spot!  Four different teams were #1 at any given point until the Losers (NOT living up to their name!) took the lead and then doubled down in Round 6 all but daring teams to make a last round run. And they all fell short as the Losers topped the tables tonight.

In other news the drinking round was captured by Dazed and Confused as they were able to come to guessing the year that Levi Strauss added copper rivets to their jeans (1873, incidentally).  Happy Levi Strauss day everyone!
