It was a good night for Silly Hoes and Crisco Inferno. Amazing team play with lots of successful double downs. Crisco Inferno held the lead for a bit but the Silly Hoes came storming back and snatched away the lead in a big way and cruised to a 7 point victory despite Crisco Inferno showing off their mad geography skills in that last round. Kudos to Funky Wagnalls who scored all their points in only 6 rounds and pulled a 3rd place finish. For the drinking round we celebrated Keanu Reeves' birthday by lamenting on this assassin and survival skills. The A team came the closest to his body count and number of times he's been stabbed and run over by cars. A good night all around!

It was a warm night at Last Name Brewery tonight but the beer was cold and the team Cunning Linguist decided to ice the competition early. They took a second round lead with a timely double down and never looked back. Sure, a couple of teams crept up on them as the rounds piled up. The Simpson Reference even managed to get within a point after a couple of rounds but the Cunning Linguist did just enough in that last round to stay at the top and take the gift card home tonight. Meanwhile, in our drinking round we challenged teams to blow some cards off a growler and once again the Cunning Linguist managed to outlast the Funky Wagnalls. They only left 10 cards on the bottle while Funky left 12. Come see us next week on Labor Day for some more great trivia rounds!

QUIZ RECAP
It was a close race to the finish tonight as some veteran teams and one new team competed hard for all 7 rounds. Simpson Reference took an early lead but The Cunning Linguists snatched that away in round 2 and held steady for a number of rounds. However Guess Who’s Back??? Had enough of that and stole the lead in round 5 with their extensive Barbie knowledge and then continued to lead the way with some worldly history knowledge. They finished atop the tables tonight and deservedly so with some late round heavy hitting.
The Cunning Linguists nailed the drinking round as we celebrated our trivia host - Last Name Brewing - by doing a quiz about their long standing flagship beer: Pomona Queen.
