DESSSPAAAACITOO. That's about all the words to that song I know. Really fun trivia tonight, with the rare double tiebreaker coming into play! 8 teams competed tonight, and four of them ended up in a dead heat at the end! Housekey and Red Lantern got off to a hot start with the Law Dogs right on their tail. Housekey began to pull away and it looked to be over, until out of nowhere the Smartinis got a huge double in round 5 springing them up to a narrow lead, sending Law dogs and Lantern to 3rd and 4th. After the final round, Smartinis and Housekey were tied at 56, and Law Dogs and Lantern were tied at 51. A double tiebreaker ensued! Smartinis and Lantern ended up winning the tiebreaker, giving Smartinis the win, Housekey in 2nd, and Red Lantern in 3rd. Good 2 see everyone!!! Have a nice long weekend!

Wow...this is one I will never forget. It was business as usual as Kyle strolled into the venue 30 minutes before showtime. Gladhanding the regulars and putting in an order for a BBQ chicken sandwich, we were all prepared for a very normal evening of trivia Until.....LIGHTS OUT! There was a power outage on 1st Street in DTSJ, which is not a great thing for a video game bar...or anywhere really. Realizing the safety issues this could pose, we had decided to shut down the event for the night. However, there was still about 20 minutes left of sunlight, so we decided to finish our drinks before leaving. Having given up hope, we had all begun to make our way to the exit. But in the 11th hour, the power came back on! What a miracle! We were able to continue the game as usual. A couple of teams did understandably leave, however, we still had 11 teams fighting it out for the first place gift card, and what a fight it was! Fat Kyle and the Boys put on a powerhouse performance, however. They took over a narrow lead in round 2 and did not look back. 2nd and 3rd place were in close contention with Houseky, smartinis, win and go home, and Red lantern all fighting for glory. Houskey was almost out of it, but managed to grab successful back-to-back doubles in rounds 5/6 to shoot up to 2nd place! Smartinis had a 4 point lead over Lantern for 3rd place going into the finals. Lantern was able to close the gap, but only by 3 points and Smartinis took the 3rd place spot by 1 point. A fun game all around and thanks to everyone for sticking it out!

QUIZ RECAP
Another amazing show this week. We, once again, set a new record with a number of teams! 18!!! We have come a long way. Out of the gate, we had some strong scores with FatKyle, BroncoBuddies, Houskey, and Im Not Positive. There was a strong back and forth until Bronco Buddies pulled a nice double in round 3 bringing them to a small lead, which they never gave up! Increasing their lead by around 1 point every round gave them a 4-point cushion heading into the finals. They dropped one point in the final round but still took the gold with a 3 point lead. On their heels were fat kyle and im not positive. FK was able to just inch out Im Not positive for 2nd and 3rd place respectively. Great job everyone!
