That evening was straight up electiric. Never before had I seen a crowd that was so ravenous for trivia at Ravenna Brew Co. It was a packed house, so packed that some teams even had to sit outside to get a piece of the pie that was King Trivia @ Ravenna on a Tuesday Night.

In what slowly, but surely became a blowout it was Circle Jerks in a win that was both impressive, and not as big as it should have been. In the second round there was a intra-team argument among the 'Jerks.' One faction believed that they had superior intellect and should go for 'Double or Nothing.' The other side was vehemently against this, they wanted to go with some sure points in what was a budding lead. In the end the Hot Seat was firmly situated behind the rear's of the conservatives. But justice was had as the team did get all answers correct and would have taken a commanding lead early on in this contest. Luckily for the Conservative group there was no permanent damage as the Circle of Jerks was able to win in the end.

Not to be outdone in terms of entertainment, the second place battle was a sight to be seen. Two teams jockeyed for position in That's So Raven-na and Hurricane Harvey Refugees (for real!). The score was not always like this. Neither Hurricane Harvey Refugees nor That's So Raven-na were in competition for second, they were barely in the picture for forth! It was on the back of a couple game breaking double or nothing successes that propelled these teams in their current positions in our narrative. As round seven came to a close, thing were all knotted up at 44 points apiece. It all came down to one final question, the TIE BREAKING QUESTION. How long is Beyonce's Single 'Single Ladies' in seconds? With an answer of 193 seconds it was Hurricane Harvey that was able to best their combatant with a guess of 210 points.

Not to fear! All teams had a great night and enjoyed some quality beer, food and music courtesy of Ravenna Brewing Comapany, Nacho Average Food Truck and Myself. Join us in the fun next week as the Circle of Jerks try to defend their title on what surely will become another great night of King Trivia at Ravenna Bewing Company.

QUIZ RECAP

It was a night of celebration at Ravenna on a fine trivia night in beautiful Seattle. While the birthday boy and his trusty companions from team 'Happy Birthday Sam' were unable to secure victory on this evening, the great beers and fun was a great consolation prize.

However, just because the birthday boy was unable to secure a win does not mean that no one was able to. When the brain dust had settled and all questions had been answered there was but one team that was able to rise to the top. Secret Service for Hire was that team who in their winning effort scored a solid 66 points. In what became a close game 'Tyrion Dies in Episode 8' (don't worry this is fake news, no spoilers here) and 'We're on a Tinder Date' were the two closest competitors with 60 and 59 points respectively.

They were not the only ones in the hunt as last week's winners 'Master Debaters' and the birthday boy himself 'Happy Birthday Sam' finished with a solid, but non-winning 52 points apiece.

It was once again a great night for trivia at The Ravenna Brewing Co and the teams came in force to win the top prize. In the end it was Master Debaters who showed off their brainy skills who were able to come away with victory. Closely following them were Bedtime is 9 and Emilo Estevensence who each finished within 8 points of the victor.

It was a close game, but it was a fair game as all of the teams gave it their all, much of the same is promised next were here at Ravenna!
