QUIZ RECAP

Trivia night was back at The Bungalow and I hosted trivia for the 21st time at my favorite spot in Santa Monica! Thanks to daylight savings, the view of the sun setting over the pacific was impeccable as we could see the shimmering ocean through the windows of The Bungalow. 

The bar was teeming full of guests and we were delighted to welcome several newcomers this week. We hosted it the day before St. Patty's so the questions were fun -- many of them about Ireland, Irish history and, begrudgingly for this USC Trojans fan, about Notre Dame's Fighting Irish.

The Guess Who round this night was about a famous place and that place was, indeed, Notre Dame. I think we had a trivia night first that no one found quite as interesting as I did, but all our teams made their guesses on the 8-point clue and all of them got them right! 

I've been hosting trivia at The Bungalow for almost six months now and I still get excited when we experience something new. In last night's case it was that all the teams successfully guessed the mystery place and on the same clue no less.

QUIZ RECAP

Who told all of Santa Monica that it was my 20th time hosting King Trivia at The Bungalow this week? Oh, maybe that was me in my recap last week. Yes, that's right! I have hosted trivia 20 times at one of SM's hottest bars and each week just keeps getting better. 

We had 18 teams and more than 80 people play King Trivia. The energy was amazing as The Bungalow was teeming with even more bar goers who weren't playing with us (yet!). Lots of curious folks saw the bustling main bar area and asked what was going on. We were hosting trivia, of course! My bet is that we will have an even bigger turnout yesterday.

We had around 85 guests and we've had 90 before. When will we break 100?! You should come check us out, bring your friends and help us break some Bungalow trivia records. It's a blast! 

QUIZ RECAP

'Twas a bitter cold evening in Santa Monica, but that didn't stop the loyal and new trivia players from coming out in full force tonight. We had 60 peeps join us for a titillating game of King Trivia! 

Energy was high the entire night and all the teams audibly had a blast. We had a record number of successful double or nothings throughout the game. All of our teams also submitted our Guess Who round by the second clue, which I think is also a record for us at The Bungalow! The noteworthy moments kept coming when we also had a tiebreaker question to determine third place. 

Did you know that there are 3840 mg of sodium in one of Outback Steakhouse's signature onion entrees? Well Troy Harris Team guessed within 40 mg of the answer to claim third place. They guessed 3800! 

I was thrilled that Kim's Salty Peppers came in first as that team featured a number of my friends and both my parents. These competitors are regulars here at the Bungalow, but have never claimed first. My parents ventured all the way to SM during rush hour from Pasadena so it made their victory even sweeter. 

We can't forget to mention our second place winners either. The group of five female baddies slowly climbed the ranks to claim the #2 spot. It was their first time at The Bungalow for trivia and they said they'll be back.
