We had a full house for trivia at The Bungalow tonight! Eleven teams competed for our stellar prizes. If you haven't joined us for trivia at one of Santa Monica's hottest bars, then you might not know that third place gets a $50 gift card and some merch🥉, second place gets $100 and some merch🥈, and first place gets a whopping $250, some merch and a bottle of tequila!🥇 

All the merch is packaged in these exclusive totes you can only get your hands on by winning trivia. My esteemed guest, my dear mama, and I are modeling them in a picture featured here if you're curious what the totes look like. 

Each week, I really do find myself learning so much. Did you know 12 US states have active volcanoes and that 141 of them are in Alaska? I also told the crowd that I'd like to visit the Sea of Tranquility, but didn't know where it is located. It's on the moon! I'd still like to visit one day. 🌚

QUIZ RECAP

Welcome to 2022! We had the best time ringing in the new year and kicking off our first trivia of 2022! It looks like all of Santa Monica's resolutions was to attend trivia as we had a full house at The Bungalow. 

The energy of the crowd was the best it's been all year 😉 our teams fed off each other's energy. Teams chatted and bantered with one another, and when the room would erupt in a collective exclamation of success or groan of an incorrect answer, well there's nothing that warms my little QM heart more. 

We had a tight race for the finish and the three teams that landed at the top of our podium to win some awesome prizes. Our top three teams were separated by just one point each!

In third place, we had Bungalow trivia newcomers and just a two-person powerhouse team, Throw Me the Idol. In second, we had some of our regulars, The Animals. And in first place, we had some of our most loyal trivia attendees, Strong but Wrong. These folks have often landed near the top, but hadn't yet clinched that #1 spot. 

Their team captain, Jessie, told me she had a good feeling about tonight's game and brought her previous victories' gift cards with her in case a celebration was in due order. Third place gets $50, second place gets $100 and they finally nabbed the first place spot with a $250 Bungallw gift card. I bet that team had a fun night celebrating their victory!

We can't wait to see what other memories and thrills 2022 has in store for King Trivia at The Bungalow. Hope you'll join us next week! 

QUIZ RECAP

We know King Trivia has a national presents, but did you know it has a global reach? Yes, that's right the legend of King Trivia at the Bungalow has crossed the country, oceans and continents. We had one guest was visiting us all the way from Amsterdam after he heard about how much fun we have here on the West Coast. fortunately for him, his international journey was worth it as he and his team came in third so he'll be heading back overseas with some Bungalow swag and his teammates can enjoy a generous gift card for their next trip to the bar.

Da Cuties (Jen's Birthday) was a more local team who had been enjoying a birthday celebration out in Santa Monica and happened upon The Bungalow. It turned out to be quite successful for this group of birthday friends, as they came in second so they finish their night with $100 to the Bungalow and an awesome hat.

The other teams consisted of more regulars who brought their friends and family. Nothing brings me more joy as a QM than to hear groups bantnering with one another, oohing and ahhing at the answers, and jumping out of their seats with joy - or slight frustration - when they hear the answer. 

It was pouring down rain in SM, but that didn't stop all of our teams from having a blast. The Bungalow is so cozy with its warm lighting, inviting furniture and roaring fireplace. A cocktail from the amazing bar staff will warm you up, or a fresh baked cookie will do the trick, too. 

This was our last show of 2021 and we are looking forward to what the New Year will bring. It might just be a rumor, but I heard we might be shaking up the prizes for our winners! Right now we give away hundreds of dollars in gift cards, a bottle of tequila and awesome merch. What could be better?! Well, you'll just have to join us and see. Happy New Year!
