QUIZ RECAP

It was a bittersweet sort of fun tonight.  Sweet as in King Trivia is always a blast at Pitcher House while surrounded by good people.  Bitter as in after 5 years of hosting trivia at PH, Jon Austin hung up his microphone laces as a full-timer.  It was a pleasure to play while John and his boo Vickie were tag-teaming Trivia all those Thursday nights.  I am going to have Jon guest host quite often though!

So this was the last trivia at Pitcher House for Nov 2016 with Thanksgiving being Thursday of next week.

Round 1:  This was a good round for those who like good movies.  Featured Star Wars (Pictured:  Jango Fett), The Princess Bride, and a James Bond title.

Round 2:  If you know your celebrity chefs, this round was for you.  Not so many teams did so good.  (Pictured:  highly unrecognizable Christina Tosi.)

Round 3:  The scientific study of dreams is called Oneirology

Round 4 (Who am I?):  These are tricky when it's a fictional character. Who remembers that Jimmy Olsen once worked in TV before becoming a newspaper reporter and a friend of Superman?

Round 7:  With Thanksgiving coming up, players had to name the artist for all song titles containing some version of "Thank You." Included John Denver, Golden Girls song, ABBA, Dido, and Alanis Morissette.

What a great night to wrap up 5 years of hosting trivia. According to my bad math that is about 1825 shows hosted just at the Pitcher House. What once started out as a chance for a night out on the cheap turned into a lot of fun a lot of great memories and best of all a lot of great friendships.

This has been my longest job and most fun I have had at "work"

Maybe we all should work 1-3 nights a week.

I want to thank King Trivia for giving me the opportunity and trusting me on the mic. Thank you Jimmy and all the Pitcher House it has been so much fun.

Best of all was all the laughs shared with one another. For one night a week we all get together, have some drinks, forget about the world and have fun. I ended every show with saying "I hope you all had as much fun as I did" because I truly had so much fun.
