QUIZ RECAP

What a great turnout. We had such great weather and people that some players elected to use the patio for tonight's game. We saw the return of Werty from weeks prior, and the rest of the teams were all new to the Tilted Mash. 

As groups came in to escape the heat, they brought some heat of their own as they fought for rank. The crowned champions of this week was the group "Three's Company" winning the first place slot by 17 points. It's been a great night being here, and i'll see you next time here at The Tilted Mash.

***************Fun Trivia Fact of the Week***********************

As the weather heats up, I turn your focus once again to how our animal counterparts are battling the heat. This week i'll focus on the desert shrew. This tiny creature that lives in the southern quarter of the US and regions in Mexico has an incredibly efficient set of kidneys, low metabolic rate, but most impressively these creatures can get by without drinking any water! That's right. These creatures bear the worst temperatures the desert has to throw at them and metabolically produce all of the water they need from the prey they eat. I'll think of them when trying to survive this summer....but will also be reaching for the thermostat and a glass of water.

QUIZ RECAP

Hey there Quizzers! We had an exciting quiz down at Tilted Mash tonight. 7 teams showed up to throw down. It looks like people are trying to get back to a sense of normalcy because the tap room was busy tonight.

Round 1 eased everyone into the quiz with some nice soft ball questions. Round 2 tested out their farmers market knowledge. Round 4 was a personal favorite of mine as a fan of Japanese Cinema. By the end of Round 7 we had a winner. If only just...Team Pfizer took home first place. Babies and Beer took home second place, but I think they had help from the baby. The other teams were distracted by the cuteness. Gimme a Chance took home a happy third place prize.

QUIZ RECAP

Two new teams faced off and threw down in tonight's games. 

It was the "werty" vs. "The Moonwalkers". These two duos brought their best trivia knowledge to the table, but in the end only one team could win. The teams went back and forth on the leaderboard with strong leads leaning back and forth! As a host this was fun to watch. It came down to the final round where Werty widened their lead by a total of 11 points. Great job teams. I'll be seeing you guys next week for another great installment of King Trivia!

Though the cartoon character only served for the purposes of making propaganda films, he has physical documents regarding his service in the U.S. Army in the 1940s until his honorable discharge in 1984.
