It was another competitive night of trivia at Tubby Hook. Where's Ray?? dominated throughout the game by a narrow margin, only to be overthrown in the final round by Team Bath, who possessed enough knowledge of past presidents to successfully use double or nothing. Sharper Than Peas successfully won third place, as they always intend to do.

It was an historic evening on Tuesday with Stephen Curry setting the record for most 3-pointers in NBA history against Spike Lee's beloved Knicks. Not wanting to be left out, the 7 teams competing in trivia at Tubby Hook make their own mark on the record book.

There's only one trivia game left until Christmas -- despite what the pint glasses may be telling you -- and the contestants were well equipped with holiday cheer (and some with holiday jeers). It was announced early in the game that Sharper Than Peas were on a 4-week winning streak and it certainly seemed like everyone was ready to help bring them down with some early Double or Nothings. It wasn't until Round 4 that the record books were cracked open when we encountered the very first "Guess Who?" in which only 1 team guessed correctly (congratulations, Tito's, and in everyone else's defense, what really separates Nick Jonas from Joe Jonas?)

In the end, Sharper Than Peas' reign was halted at 4 weeks as #possumcore rode to victory. Newcomers Tito's took home the silver during their very first game failing on a Round 6 Double or Nothing only to then be the only team to nail it with a Round 7 hail mary. 

There's just one more chance to make jolly before Christmas, so come on down next Tuesday at 8PM at Tubby Hook Tavern!

QUIZ RECAP

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas at Tubby Hook Tavern and last night saw 4 teams try to stuff their stockings with King Trivia prizes to make their holidays just that much more festive.

Sharper Than Peas entered the evening on a 3-week run finishing in 1st and for most of the game, the other teams had ample opportunity to help deliver them coal. It was a tight game early with the younger teams flexing a little bit of muscular knowledge in "Guess Who?" (the only time that multiple correct answers were submitted after the first clue!), but the Peas' collected wisdom saw them pull ahead thanks to a Double or Nothing in "Find the Connection." 

Though the crafty veterans guessed the least amount of correct answers for Round 7's prompt for naming 10 of 12 guests who had hosted SNL 6 or more times, their lead proved insurmountable and they emerged victorious for a 4th week in a row.

With 2 more trivia nights at Tubby Hook left until Christmas, there's still plenty of opportunity to play for a chance to make your holiday season merry and bright!
