Brewyard Beer Co. is a new Craft Brewery & Taproom in Glendale, CA. We specialize in Californian "Aled" Lagers. The most well known of this hybrid style is the California Common (A.K.A Steam Beer). We offer 8 of these hybrid beers currently: Soul Cal (California Common), Imposter Syndrome (India Pale Ale'd Lager), Black Sunrise (Black Ale'd Lager), The Smoking Redhead (Smoked Irish Red Ale'd Lager), Sunday Morning (Pale Ale'd Lager), Sunday Morning Joe (Ethiopia Yirgecheffe Coffee infused Pale Ale'd Lager) & Perky DIPL (Double India Pale Ale'd Lager). We also have a very popular Saison brewed with Passion Fruit, A Basil Belgian Single and a Belgian Dubbel.

Had some new teams this week as Midnignt Powerwalk and the Boy Johnson's joined some regulars from the past few weeks. Both of those teams were contenders for first place for some time, as there was a steady and intense back and forth, double or nothings were used, teams played hard! By round 5 no one knew who would win because the Boy Johnson's jumped up from 4th place to first with a well played double or nothing. But in the end the sports question stumped and allowed Midnight Powerwalk to jump ahead, and the Percect strangers took the final lead.

It was an exciting night with 5 great teams, all of them neck and neck the whole night. Perfect strangers admittedly took some risks doing double or nothing on almost every round and sadly this week it did not pay off, but it did pay off cod Clefable's Table and Trivia Newton John who used a few wisely. We actually had to do a tiebreaker at the end of the night that's how close these teams were the end of the night. Clefable's table took the tiebreaker and won by 1 point, Trivia Newton John, second, and Queer for the beer took 3rd. It was national chocolate chip cookie day so the drinking round was to write a haiku about chocolate chip cookies, so much fun to read everyone's, Trivia Newton John won that one.

A lively bunch tonight at the Brewyard! Everyone seemed super stoked that King Trivia was back. Most of the teams told me they were regulars before the pandemic and we had a few newbies. It started out as a close race with a few teams tied for the lead. Second round was a bit of a stumper with the books, but in the 3rd round some double or nothings started getting used and Queer for the Beer jumped into a strong lead, Sony Guts not far behind. Clefable's table trailing not far as well. Later, after rounds 4 and 5 Clefable's Table jumped ahead and that's pretty much how it stayed the rest of the night. Queer for the beer also took home the drinking round which was a hot dog themed word search for national hot dog day. Queer for the beer kept their lead and Clefable's table in 2nd and Sony Guts were only trailed behind by one point. Fun night for all
