QUIZ RECAP

The holiday spirit was on full display this week at the Brewyard Beer Company in Burbank. With a winter's snap in the air and a twinkle in the eyes of our assembled quizzers, this quizmaster expected elves to show up at any moment.

And they did! As you can see from photo #1, a quick-footed member of third place finisher Queer for the Beer actually caught one of those slippery little pointy-eared creatures. We even took a picture to prove it!

But elves are clever little rapscallions. This one used elf magic to make himself look like a dog! But trust me, it was an elf!

We expect more elves and other holiday magic to be on tap at the Brewyard next week. We hope you'll come on out and celebrate with us by drinking excellent Brewyard brews, tackling trivia question and catching elves. See ya then. 

QUIZ RECAP

The Holiday spirit was on full display at The Brewyard Beer Company in Burbank this week, with the return of Tournament of Champions stalwart Because Jeopardy Won't Let Us Drink. Yup, the Jeopardy crew Showed up and blew through the competition like a rogue band of Trump supporters in the U.S. Capital on January 6th.

That's them in photo #1, looking mighty smug, as usual. Team mom Verna taught 'em to be confident, and what is "smug" but confidence raised to a very high level!?

But we were also impressed with the performance of Fashionably Late, (photo #7) who - true to their name - arrived in style five minutes after we began the quiz, and proceeded to sweep aside (most of) the competition to earn 2nd place honors.

And for the many who asked about Shay from last week's update, yes her face is still stuck that way (photo #9), but teammate Brad reports that, "aside from scaring small children, she's learning to live with it!"

That attractive woman pictured in photo #1 is Shay, a regular player at The Brewyard Beer House in Burbank.

Now you might think that Shay made a goofy face for the camera while leading her team to a strong second-place finish in this week's quiz. But no, the story is far more tragic. And that's her regular face!

Did your mom ever tell you to stop making a goofy face because "your face will get frozen and you'll have to live your entire life looking like that!" ? Did you think your mom was kidding!?

Well she wasn't, as Shay can report from personal experience. If you come to The Brewyard and encounter Shay, try not to make eye contact. It's freaky, man!!
