QUIZ RECAP

There are several important plot points to consider when talking about this game but the most important is understanding that it fell on an evening where Los Angeles receives one of the handful of rainstorms it gets per year. 

The rainfall caused an unfortunate delay to the LA Chargers football game which caused an unfortunate delay to the trivia game, however the show MUST go on. After the Chargers prevailed in their game, the trivia teams gathered around for their own. The game was shortened down to 3 simple rounds: General Knowledge, a Picture Round, and a Matching Round.

Our general knowledge round saw several ties: with both RIP Tina Marie Carter and Outside Beers in the lead, The LA Lightning Delays in second, and tie for third between Lucky Lar and Guys Being Dudes Beings Guys.

The picture round then pulled the mask off who in room is a true coffee aficionado by asking them to match coffee companies to their logos. The race for first place continued, LA Lightning Delays kept their second place spot, and Lucky Lar secured their spot in third. 

For our final round, players had to match famous real life and fictional Misters to their real names. LA Lightning Delays shot to the top with the Double or Nothing bonus! Outside Beers went home with the second place prize and left RIP Tina Marie Carter and Lucky Lar in a tiebreaker for third. Neither team knew how many jumps Evel Knievel has attempted (according to his website) but Lucky Lar came the closest with their guess of 86 (the answer is 151).

It was BYOB for our top team tonight. Congrats OUTSIDE BEERS!!! on winning 1st place! They started the party early with a couple of successful doubles and finished with 62 points for the win. RIP City took 2nd place with 46 points. The Ratz came in 3rd with 45. I'm still recovering from the Eagles losing to the Cowboys on Monday Night Football, so it was great seeing everyone playing trivia.

Congrats...Burke Did It Again! And by "it" I mean win first place. They scored three successful doubles and won with 61 points. RIP Tina Marie Carter came in 2nd with 52 points. OUTSIDE BEERS!!! snuck into 3rd place with 49 points. Thanks everyone for playing tonight!
