One League Ends, and Another Begin

What better way to end the college basketball season, than to start a Season 9 of King Trivia League, the sport of the real champions. What a show we got tonight too. I tell you, ESPN should have televised this match, it would have been a better game for the nation. We started with a good 9 teams but just like the brackets, it turned to be a little too much for some to handle. From the beginning of the game The Snuggy Heiresses and Paddington Kills were neck and neck, battling it out for first place. Trailing behind them hoping to capture the third spot in the early rounds we had another tie between Mr. T says Curling is Cool Fool, and The Mountain Men. It was a cold fight until the 4th round were Mr. T says Curling is Cool Fool solidifying third place, pursuing the first. However the grueling battle for first was still going between the Snuggy Heiresses, and Paddington Kills deep into the next round. It wasn't until The Snuggy Heiresses put it all out there on the floor and took a commanding lead for first which there held until the end of the game. Way to go guys!

It should be on the marquee -- just come try and takedown the Rocco's Culver staff, we dare you.  The fearless employees of our host site AGAIN took to the podium to gain bronze.

But the Rocco's dollars awaited the customers, as a pair of late game double or nothings, propelled what was a 9 point deficit after round 5 and a 3rd place standing, into top slot and the big money action.

Another well place double or nothing, some people just know their sports -- saw Our Couches Pull Out, hovering in 4th for most of Monday's competition, jump up and grab second just as the game concluded.

And consistency does pay off, as T9, around the top for most of the night before the city of Atlanta (Hawks, Thrashers, what have done to me?) proved their undoing -- still walked out with $20 Rocco's bucks.

Will Curling is Cool be back as new champs have been crowned?

Will the city of Culver realize the intense fun going down on Monday's at Rocco's?

The game started out with a rough round 1, with most teams scoring only 2, but 2 Girls 1 Chris get an early lead with their score of 4.

Newcomer Sean hops in late (round 6) & impressively overtakes Rocco's Killers, who had 2 failed doubles to end the game, to take the bronze!

The Violets had a couple of bad rounds (1 & 3), but also had a couple of good rounds (2 & 9). Their perseverance pays off as they take silver!

2 Girls 1 Chris repeatedly finished rounds with a higher than average score & never lost the lead. They had a close call in round 6 with The Violets only 2 points behind, however both teams impressively scored 9 in the last round causing no shakeups. 2 Girls 1 Chris takes the gold!
