Goddamn teams! What a bustling night. A full bar meant full crowds and plenty of teams going at it to be the last Rocco's Trivia Champions of the 2010s. Y'all went down swinging, and I love you for it.

Pizza Fries had pretty strong lead from the get-go, with Perpetually Second Place, Minorities Report, and Club Obi-Wan trailing closely. Club Obi-Wan slipped with a failed attempt at a double in the fifth round, seemingly leaving Minorities Report locked for silver, but they didn't falter- they doubled successfully TWICE in a row to snag the win right from Pizza Fries' clutches! Club Obi Wan knew that when it comes to trivia, this is the way.

So Pizza Fries settled in second, so who got third? While both Perpetually Second Place and Minorities Report scored well, there was a strange prophecy to fulfill tonight. The Longshots, a team that spent most of their time in the middle, pulled a Hail Mary double in the final round, just edging out the other two teams by a narrow two to three points, respectively. I tell ya, I gasped when I did the scores.

HO HO HO! Merry happy!! Welcome to our holiday game tonight at Rocco's, where the bar was crowded and the teams were hungry for justice VICTORY!

Pizza Fries got an early double in the second round, giving them a strong and fast lead. However, it wasn't going to be that easy- Club Obi-Wan was constantly on their tail, only two points behind. Then what to my wondering eyes should appear- but Those People, and the doubles they hold so dear.

That's right, Those People nailed rounds five and seven, giving them just the push they needed to become Christmas champions once more. Club Obi-Wan managed to stay competitive with an immediate and successful final double while....Pizza Fries misunderstood the assignment and just added characters from a Christmas Carol.

QUIZ RECAP

You guys made this an unforgettable night! Pole positions bounced around a bit- Perpetually Second Place had the lead for most of the game, but then Pizza Fries snuck up on them with a well place double in the sixth round. With only a finale and several points between the top 4, anything could happen.

And then, four of you doubled in the final round.

Making it even more difficult was brief rivals Club Obi-Wan and Pizza Fries, both of them fighting over the top 3 thoroughout the night, now locked in a tiebreaker battle for the bronze. "As of 2009, what is the population of Nairobi?"

The result?

With a result only off by nearly two thousand (quite a bit considering the answer was in millions), Club Obi-Wan cinched the bronze!

...as Perpetually Second Place gloated in the corner with their gold, their rivals Those People clinging to their silver.
