QUIZ RECAP

Thanks for the packed night you guys! Despite the small delay, we picked up and zoomed back into the game in no time.

These scores were pretty all over the places with pole positions shifting on the regular. However, Those People played wisely and most consistently, only doubling once and saving their energy. Their cautious but effective method sealed their lead.

Shout-outs a plenty tonight! Let's break it down:

- Club Obi-Wan returned after a brief hiatus and earned a righteous second, being one of the few teams to find the connection in round five.

-Pizza Fries elevated themselves with a handy Hail Mary double in round six, and a near perfect score in the final round secured their bronze.

-Mothers of Invention NAILED the Guess What? Round within moments of revealing the ten point clue. Well played!

Well done teams! Lots of teams pulling off doubles in this one, but tonight the nerds reign supreme. Congratulations Almost Okay! Three successful doubles and no looking back. Keep it up!

Shout out to Mothers of Invention, not only nailing the Guess Who round on the first clue but also pulling off a Hail Mary double in the finale landing them in the top 2. Keep it up!

Further, a big welcome and congrats to new team Pizza Fries- third place on your first go and two successful doubles! Very proud.

Well, that was a wild night, wasn't it?

Heckling aside, that was a great game. The teams were fairly matched, so well matched that first place shifted several times over the course of the night. However, when it came down to the finale (with SIX of them attempting a Hail Mary double or nothing), only two teams stood in the wreckage and the flames of trivia- Club Obi-Wan and the Mothers of Invention.

Their final tiebreaker question: Joey Chestnut broke the world record by eating HOW MANY hardboiled eggs in eight minutes?

Club Obi-Wan was off...BY ONE EGG.

Congratulations Club Obi-Wan! A well deserved victory snatched from the tie.

To all the teams that came out tonight, and to the entire staff at Rocco's, thank you so much. It's a shame the game was delayed when a drunken regular decided to go off and spoil the night, but your patience and support were fully appreciated. See you next week.
