QUIZ RECAP

This game got RIDICULOUSLY close. All our teams, new and classic, we're playing to win and they did not disappoint with plenty of successful doubles thrown left and right.

Those People reclaimed their crown tonight, but the scores were beyond close. F?tbol, not Football continued their upward trajectory and were only three points behind, holding a strong lead for most of the game. Third went to newcomers We Put The Sex in Dyslexia who failed a first round double but bounced back the rest of the game. We even had a rare three-way tie for fifth place!p

This game was BEYOND close, with first place coming down to one point! Check For Fruits and F?tbol, Not Football had a strong lead throughout, but Those People were consistently close behind them until the two leads broke their tie in round 6 and Those People edged their way into second.

In the end, despite all our teams performing exceptionally well with plenty of successful doubles all over the place, all Check For Fruits had to do was remember that Tyrion Lannister existed and it was enough to solidify their gold! Congratulations!

This was a competitive night! It usually is at Rocco's, but tonight even more so.

Our players were pretty close, but by round 7 we had a tie! A final First Place showdown between Those People and their old rivals the 900Dollarydoos! And-

OOPS. Wait, as it turns out. Those People went to contest and it turned out they were off by a point- yellow moons instead of blue, despite the rhyme. Guess even quizmasters are only human, right?

So by a margin of one point, the 900Dollarydoos were proclaimed champions! Congratulations!

Also, shout out to Almost Okay- expatriates from the now trivially defunct Underdogs! Welcome team, and congrats on your bronze. Hope you found a new home!
