They say you never forget your first time and it's especially true for my first night as quiz master. It began an all-out brawl between six teams and when it ended, only five remained. Math Teachers Plus N took an early lead from rounds 1-5 and I truly thought they had captured gold. Then came a timely double or nothing from The Pannidos which vaulted them into the lead, which they ended up holding onto by a total of 7 points. Thank you to all of the teams that duked it out and a special congratulations to the mighty The Pannidos.

I can truly say that I was humbled and gracious at my final trivia for The Bike. Teams Pannido, Math Teachers, and Hold Me Closer showed such kindness and generosity to me that I was truly touched and I am so sad that I will not be returning to The Bike to lead them all in more Thursday night quizzes. I know that they will continue to hold down the fort for me in my absence with whatever QM is lucky to have them. I am so full of gratitude to have had The Bike for my first ever venue as their staff was always smiling, kind, and welcoming to me. Once again, Teams Pannido, Hold Me Closer, and Math Teachers, thank you so much for your participation and for always allowing me to look forward to my Thursday nights at the Bike. Goodbye for now, but not forever, because now I can come back as a player, and you better bet there will be some new competition in town!

It was a Trivia veteran showdown tonight and with Beermugs help it was an absolutely fantastic edge of the seat endeavor. I was biting fingernails down to the quick grading the scoresheets, but as always there must be a First, Second, and Third place. This week Hold Me Closer had victory snatched out right from under them with a last minute 16 point double down by Pannido and Beer Me Og. It hurt me heart to see a team that fought so hard get taken down in the final bout by 1 point! Beer Me Og swooped into second while Pannido claimed the First place prize of $100 gift card to the The Bike. Thank you to all my veteran players for always showing up with the best attitude and game face and a double thank you to Beermug for passing out tickets to the LA Fair and to Young the Giant as well. I will see you all next week at the Bike!
