What an Event! We had so many double or nothings that the game felt more like a roller coaster than a Trivia Night! Team Jamba agonized over their double or nothing, but it paid off and earned them 20 whole points and secured their place in Second. Bolamansters played a great game as first timers to Trivia and barely edged out the B-Day Girlz. It almost killed me to see the life of the event the B-Day Girlz lose by one point, but I knew that a Quizmaster is nothing without integrity, so they took home no gift cards, but a warm memory fourth place. In the last round it even looked like Bike legends Team Pannido might finally be dethroned, but with a decisive double or nothing on the last round, and with many fond memories of the original Mario Kart, they managed to secure 16 points and the first place prize. Tune in next week to not only play trivia, but to hang out with K-Roqs very own Beermug and potentially earn some free ski/snowboard tickets as well!

This weeks quiz sported a packed playing field with a bunch of teams and plenty of players. Team Pannido, riding high after two consecutive wins, took a brazen leap of faith in the second round, setting them up for a First Place lead which would last the entire game. The Bike looks like it has a champion in its ranks, but the only thing more exciting than a champion is watching one fall. Perhaps next week we'll have a challenger that can take the reins away from Team Pannido. However, Second place was hotly contested by Flossy Possy and the PB's, a classic Men vs Women array. Flossy Possy had two perfect rounds, but perfection is not enough, it requires risk and possibly a double down to take victory. The Pb's were able to narrowly take the lead with three straight 8's which earned them second place. Please tune in next week to see if 4 is Team Pannido's unlucky number!

The Valentine Day special quiz was a doozy of a challenge for both our caring couples and spurious singles. It was a close game with first place threeway ties and second (or last place depending on the view) place threeway ties all the way up to round 5! It was then that a bold double down by Lost and Lonely and Pooty cost them a devastating nine points. Each team only got one wrong on those doubles and it changed the course of this game and perhaps even history. Pooty kept the game going courageously ending with a tie for third place with Deuces. Fortunately for Deuces, overestimating the affairs of Turkish men was an advantage in the tie breaker allowing them to take home the $25 prize. One Man Band valiantly held his own amidst the top couples of the night and took home the $50 dollar prize. But it was Pannido, last weeks champ as well, who solidified his myth by taking the first place $100 prize, but this time only with the help of his wife, making this team a pair of champs. In any event, the night was fun and best of all, there is no need to revisit the lyric round (so poorly sung by myself) ever, ever again.
