Fall is here and while the season may have changed, the intensity of King Trivia never does. Last night was a four team battle royale. In the early rounds, Math Teachers and Pannido went back-and-forth in lead changes. A timely double-or-nothing by Math Teachers in round 5 gave them the lead and they never gave it up after that. Meanwhile, we had a fierce fight for third place between two newcomers, Plumbers and Gays of America. Both teams went at it and it wasn't clear who'd come out with the $25 prize. Then, the baseball round happened and a well-timed double-or-nothing by Plumbers gave them the lead and the sweet, sweet winnings. If the excitement of King Trivia wasn't enough for you, the Dodgers won game one of the NLDS! Now go rest because trivia night at the Bike Brewery is only a few nights away...

There's an old saying, "Trivia Nights are the Full Moons of Bar Games" and it's definitely true because last night made people wild! Seven teams entered the gladiator pits and the battle was fierce. Early on, Pannido and Begs jumped out to early leads while Math Teachers lost their first double or nothing. But then, it happened. Math Teachers hit three double or nothings and leaped passed Begs and Pannido. Pannido hit one of their own and it looked like they might make the comeback, but the final round proved to be enough of a buffer for Math Teachers and they came out on top. Congrats to them and I hope to see you at the Bike next Thursday!

The Thursday Night Football game may have lacked any excitement, but that's ok because King Trivia brought the fire! Six teams entered the Battle Dome. Early on Math Teachers, Pannido and LA Riots were locked in a fight to the death. The Dynasty and Golden State rounds weren't enough to determine a clear cut winner. Math Teachers held the lead from the early rounds and somehow fought off Pannido and LA Riots and held onto the crown, literally b/c the final round that determined our winner was Monarchs of the UK. It was an incredible effort and one which I'm not sure we'll witness ever in the history of King Trivia.
