QUIZ RECAP

Tough game tonight. It consisted of 4 failed doubles and a missed opportunity for one, a tough round 4, and profuse sweating by the end.

Everyone had some kind of falter through the 1st four rounds. No one escaped, as Big Gulps held the highest score at 19 after 4. Once the smoked cleared in round 5, Showtime! had a slight margin over Big Gulps, and everyone started gaining some traction.

Oscar de la Bob re-grouped and hauled themselves back into contention in round 6 with a perfect score. However a couple of zeros early on left them a bit shell-shocked, so they passed on the double.

The Young Ones overtook Super Booch in rd 5 and stayed within striking distance of the leaders.

Showtime! managed to hang on for victory and Big Gulps let out a sigh of relief that they turned in their pen at the end. But, a tie-breaker was avoided and we had three clean finishes.

QUIZ RECAP

With no attempted doubles, there was no sprinting away in this game. It was like the Bugs Bunny and evil doctor ether-induced chase scene through the castle. Showtime grabbed an early lead and maintained it in slow motion through rd 5.

Oscar De La Bob lumbered alone behind, but was finally able to catch Showtime at round 6, because they were way better at show tunes.

Rd 7 stayed as trendy as the rest of the game, but Showtime knew just enough more to eke out the victory

Gee & Vee were newcomers to KT, getting the feel for it as they played along. However, their moment in the sun came in rd 7, as they beat the two KT Veterans to claim that round and finish a respectable 3rd.

QUIZ RECAP

A good game tonight, that wound up being a nail biter at the end. Oscar De La Bob and Showtime had good doubles in round two and jumped out to a healthy lead that they maintained through rd 4.

A perfect double for A Clockwork Orange Tabby in rd 5 vaulted them into 2nd place, and 3 points separated 1-3. In rd 6, Show doubled to create some separation. Trivia Vixens missed a second opportunity to double and was seemingly out of reach. However, in rd 7 Vixens had the only double, which launched them into a tie for 3rd place with Bob.

Orange missed the chance to double in rd 7, and that misstep kept them from the gold, as they fell short of Showtime and settled for 2nd.

In the tie-breaker, neither team came close to the correct answer, but Bob was ultimately the closest, and therefore took the 3rd-place mantle.

What started as an apparent runaway, ended up with significant position changes in rds 5-7, involving 4 of the 5 teams. Congrats to Showtime!!
