It's spring, March Madness has begun and we had our second first-place tie in as many weeks!
Crystal Methodist Church and Blue Team each netted themselves 61 points to tie for first. After a squeaker of a tie-breaker, CMC took home the win this week. Not to be left out, Dynamic FOD also put in a good showing in the end to round out our top three.
Tonight's final round was where dreams began and were sadly broken. Who knew that among most popular movie soundtracks, we'd not have anything by John Williams at all. However, to be fair, Purple Rain and Grease were obvious choices once you heard the answers.
Love in the Book Club begrudgingly accepted their Not the Worst certificate and booby prize. I wish I had captured the looks on the teams' faces when out of the bag of tricks, they pulled gravy-flavored candy canes. Yes. You read that correctly.
No Wrong Answer of the Game this week though! All the wrong answers were surprisingly sensible and well thought out! I would like to mention that for the first several rounds, Aslin's bartender team was smoking everyone! 😉
See you all next week, when the game will be brought to you by the end of March, the letter Q, and the number 11.
Keep on quizzin'!

Tonight's trivia was brought to you by the 80s and those "lil" rappers out there! From lil wayne to George Michael, 80s and rap fans were having a blast tonight! It was another fun night of music trivia here at Aslin Beer Co in the Strip, see you all next week!
Pi Day, the week after the Oscars, the embarrassment of several politicians this week, and the closing of The Body Shop. It's been an eventful week, but none more eventful than quiz at Aslin tonight!
We even had to effect a tiebreaker when Some Nuts No Sesame and Pi-thons tied for first, but Nuts won out in the end. Numerical guesses are hard--is this one of those places where we can blame common core maths?
We discovered more about the Book of Kells than most people knew, learned that Hannah Irwin is not a stand-up comedian, and debated the merits of various US ski resorts. I think we're well ready for mid-March and spring.
Wrong Answer of the Game:
A beloved 80s cartoon once contained "Where Are You?" as part of its title. That show...was not...the Smurfs. But can you imagine? Papa, papa Smurf, where are you? I've got a cat for you now. Papa Papa Smurf, I see you, he's going to eat your shoe now.
Trivianistas, as always, thanks for coming out. I'll be back again next week, for those of you who survive the Ides. Same bat pub, same bat time.
Keep on quizzin'!
