Lords and ladies of the Boondocks realm, what an honor it was to have thee attend a special All Hallow's Eve this night.
Newcomers Desi and Humpkin Blumpkin had oodles of fun (we hope), as they did astonishingly well for being first-time King Trivia players. I promised that the picture round was the easiest I have ever seen, so I hope I did keep my word to you guys!
Not-so-scary clown Bartop rocked the quizbook all by himself tonight, taking home the third place prize for his Nosferatu connections. Knobheads correctly doubled-down on their American Horror Story subtitles (ironic that this was the round Ms. Anti-Scary Darion was able to participate in the most), taking home the second place winnings. Prestige Worldwide, made up of Miguel from Coco and some Star Trek guy, took home the first place winnings and spooky glory for knowing everything there is to know about American Horror Story, Nosferatu connections, John Carpenter (sorta), scary novels, and MOST IMPORTANTLY -- doggie costumes!
Huzzah, dear comrades! HUZZAH!

When the Dodgers let you down, King Trivia is always here to pick up the pieces again!
New players Shitz & Giggles knew their Gaga and phobias, and hopefully they got some good, reliable answers from Chelsea at the bar. They came in fourth place, which, for two people, is definitely a feat in itself for first-timers.
Hop On My Broomstick left many of their fellow witches and wizards at home, but they still reeled in $10 in Boonbucks. Two Broomsticks even got free "Jimmys" on the Quizmaster tonight for being the first two to dunk their trash in the bucket (I think we're calling it BudLightBall).
Bartop and Knobheads were neck-in-neck throughout a good chunk of the game, with the Knobheads BARELY nabbing the $30 prize by one point. This is what happens when you don't have the courage to double-down, people! But Bartop still got a nice $20 to split between only two people tonight, so there's no complaints there.
#Blessed that the dive bar full of Dodger fans didn't notice I was wearing my lucky red socks tonight! Phew! 🙂

Tonight, I invoked Rule #3: The Quizmaster is Always Right. For the two hours I was up there, we were all to root for the Red Sox, and those who rooted for the Astros were politely, but firmly, asked to leave. Okay, that didn't happen, but who would come into an Irish pub and doesn't root for the Red Sox? Jeez.
Anyway, the general knowledge, caricature, fact or fiction, and snack time rounds were house favorites, with everyone doing much better on questions than last week.
Listen Linda made their second debut by making the long drive back out to Boondocks to secure... fourth place? Boo! But their beloved Sox won as a consolation prize.
Hop On My Jetski was back from a trivia hiatus, and although they held a small lead through about half the game, they wound up splitting the $10 prize between a thousand people -- still great to have them here regardless! Bartop thought they had it made, but they only got a $20 gift certificate, as Knobheads had the audacity to double down on their Baldwin and Wayans answers, taking the $30 prize.
"Miggs," Heidi, and Jon all got free drinks on the Quizmaster for guessing how many blank King Trivia booklets I had in my bag -- which is a fun way to figure out how many more supplies I need to order. Thanks, guys!
