It's always a good night when we get to share tidbits of insignificant knowledge with each other. For example, I taught most all of you that Tommy Pickles' mom's first name is Didi, and that it's not very common for people to die from playing "Chubby Bunny" in order to win free alcohol. And some of you taught me that aliens and monsters are not the same thing (you still had to have "Cloverfield" in Round 5, though) and taught me that Stephen Curry is pronounced "Steffen," for reasons I guess only his parents will understand. The more you know!
Everyone gave each other a good run for their money with every team getting to correctly double down at least once. Ladies in red had nothing on Team Lit and Ari's Bitches, Bartop and Team Lit were on top of their mythological creatures, and Knobheads made everyone sweat with their "spicy" smarts!
Team Lit held a pretty strong lead all throughout the game, but this wasn't Ari's Bitches' first King Trivia rodeo! (It's only like their fourth, or something.) Lead Bitch Ari took an agricultural course in college, so being the only team to correctly double down on individual farms in Round 7 shot them to first place at the last minute by ONE point!
Extra big shout out to all the mad love Bartop had to offer. Gina and Greg spent their 25th anniversary getting their trivia on tonight, and Heidi and Bill just got done celebrating an adventurous, fun-filled, 30 years together. You guys give us all hope! <3

It was quieter than usual in Boondocks tonight. We missed our Knobheads, Hop On My Jetskis, and Team Lit tremendously. However, this didn't bother our two competing teams, who were happy to be guaranteed to go home with something no matter how great (or how poorly) they did on tonight's questions!
Bartop had a double-down fail on their colorful bands early on, giving King Trivia virgins The Taco Team a small lead for a few rounds. But as Bartop knew just a smidge more about Graceland, their fishy connections, and Shakespeare, they were able to pull back into first place by the end of the game without the assistance of any other double downs.
Daisy from The Taco Team got a free long island iced tea on the Quizmaster's tab for being the ultimate musical chairs champion! That, on top of a $20 gift certificate for coming in second place, The Taco Team did not do too shabby at all for their first King Trivia game. Good for you guys!

It was so great to be back from paw-ternity leave, but I'm sorry I felt so lousy tonight! Regardless of my lack of perkiness and energy, you were all a delight and hope you still had lots of fun.
We started out with Knobheads, Bartop, and Ari's Bitches, and were thrilled to have The Unknown and Put In My Pocket join in later on. We saw a last-minute Hail Mary double down from Ari's Bitches, but it was not enough to take second place away from super animated (you would be too if it was your last day with sixth graders) Bartop!
To the surprise of no one, Knobheads aced his Popeye connections and doubled down on cinematic movies and towns, so he got to take home the gold.
