I'm sorry I missed you all last week, due to stormwater sampling for work, but it was great to be back not wearing my reflective gear!
Knobheads held a solid lead all the way through the game thanks to their knowledge of all things Big 4-ish and yellowish. Bartop wasn't too far behind -- and I got a nice break mooching off Dawn's talents as she finished up Round 5 for me. Sexy 42 and Listen Linda were new to King Trivia, but still did splendidly -- Listen Linda got to go home with $10 in Boondocks certificates!

With just two teams, it was easy to keep track of the lead. It shifted from The Knobheads to Bartop and back again. At times, it was tided. But it was the Knobheads that ended up with the win and Bartop took second. Thanks to everyone for a fun. Thanks of course to Dawn for calling a couple rounds. I know you're going to do great. And Chelsea and the good folks at Boondocks for hosting us and providing all the great food and drinks.

Most of the bar patrons got scared away to the patio, while all the cool smarty-pantses stayed indoors to play some King Trivia! The serenity was strange, but not unwelcome.
Dawn of Bartop spectacularly hosted Round 3 while your Quizmaster got to dick around. (Hey, Dawn got to say it, so I have every right to write it!) Bartop held a small lead throughout the entire game until Knobheads barely broke through with their museum knowledge, then brutally doubled down on their singular sports teams. Mr. "I'm Going Through All NBA/NHL/MLB Lists In My Head So Don't Talk To Me" (formerly known as "Jon") carried the Knobheads all on his own there.
Fontana Knowledge was the grand winner of tonight's drinking round, where everyone was asked to write my epitaph should I have not come back alive from my birthday skydive excursion. "Here lies Charlotte, sadly doomed to die, left a stain of scarlet, when she fell out of the sky," was my favorite (partially because they spelled my name right), so their drinks were on me! They'll have promising careers if they ever decide to become Starbucks baristas.
