QUIZ RECAP

It was a great turnout on a warm, late summer evening at HP Deli on Monday.  With Don't Go Jason Waterfalls reduced to a shadow of their former selves, the playing field was wide open, and Fartin' Sheen quickly filled that power vacuum.  They are big Christopher Nolan fans and it shows, soaring into first with a Round 7 double.  Stepdads Who Vape also placed up top after winning a tie-breaker.  And it was George Michael Shannon Doherty who handily won the drinking round.  Nice job to everyone!

So. Many. DOUBLES. 

That's right, if you're not hitting that double down 5 out of 7 rounds each night, how are you going to compete? Both top teams doubled on five rounds and frankly - you've got to - if you wanna be the best. 5th Place or Bust edged out Don't Go Jason Waterfalls by a nose, winning only with an end-game tie-breaker.  That's high drama for a neighborhood bar!  Don't feel bad for DGJW though, they won the drinking round and that's all that really matters to them.  Well, that and drinking the blood of those they conquer.

The heat couldn't stop us from enjoying another Monday night of trivia at HP Deli & Bar! Even on a holiday weekend, 8 teams showed up to compete for glory. Our two top scorers, Certified Lover Boys and Jennifer Bryan and the Up All Night Teenagers, were neck and neck all evening...with only a one point difference until the final round. Coincidentally, both of the teams were there celebrating birthdays. Happy Belated to Amanda and Bryan! In the end, Certified Lover Boys not only took home the top prize, they also crushed the drinking round - a beer pong challenge!
