QUIZ RECAP

The players came out to play on the Tuesday before thanksgiving. Trivia and not Turkey was on the brain as the race for the top prize was very close.
In the end, Good Question, Next Question claimed the top spot and bragging rights. 
The drinking round consisted of presenting a $50 bill and folding it into the best Turkey. (Turkey was kind of on the brain).

We’re getting thankful up this barrel-shaped house. Why shouldn’t we? It’s a Tuesday, the weather is nice, and we have seven rounds of KING TRIVIA to look forward to!

31 teams arrived for what would turn out to be a truly epic evening of questions, answers, and self reflection. 

The first half of the game opened with an unheard of 12-way tie for first place. Round after round, we whittled down the groups, but could not find a single leader. In fact, up until the very last moment of the game, this was a shared seat at first place. 

We honored National Pickle Day for our drinking round, and Legally Distinct Branding managed to sneak in the victory and earn their free drinks. But then the true battle began. 

Paul Giamatti (team not the actor) and Union Barbie had a lock on the top spot for the entire game…up through Round 6. During a tricky mix and match round, a few teams chose the cautious path forward, while others threw caution to the wind. With a risky double leapfrogging the competition, new champion emerged in time to steal victory from the jaws of defeat.  

Our winners for the night were Jakes Varjynia by Ronald Mcdonalds Charlotte House, Paul Giamatti, and Grandma’s Ghost!

QUIZ RECAP

The time between Halloween and Thanksgiving can be a sad wasteland for followers of the most spooky of holidays. No more costumes to wear, no more candy to scarf. What’s a good witch to do? Play a little KING TRIVIA at IDLE HOUR, that’s what! 32 teams arrived for the best show in all of NoHo here with Quizmaster Adam!

Round 1 kicked things off with a tight four-way tie with The Furious Jumpers, Drink-182, Team Quizney, Here for the Host. But this was the last time the leaders were so clearly defined. 

In Round 2, Teacup Yorkies snuck away with the lead, but Furious Jumpers quickly claimed the top spot in Round 4. Meanwhile, Not Natalie Portmans danced about with silver and bronze. 

For our drinking round, we asked our teams to decipher complex medical terminology. 720 of Emotions used their vague understanding of Latin and some familial experience to lock away the free shots. 

In Round 5 it was 3 Cool Boys with the steal for first, but they dropped down as Double Stuff took it home in Round 6. It was anyone’s game going into the final round, but no one could have imagined the final outcome. 

Not Natalie Portman through out an insane stretch to take third, chasing Dance Nance Dance in second, and Double Stuff held on for the win!

Our winners for the night were Double Stuffed Oreos, Dance Nance Dance, and Not Natalie Portmans!
