Another Tuesday trivia in the books at Mikkeller DTLA. Small but mighty was the crowd this week. After the Magic Johnson surprise retirement concluded down the street at the Staples Center, everyone was looking to turn those frowns upside down. The trivia questions were tough but fair and the race to the top was close throughout. The point differential between first, second, and third was only ONE point. In the end, the photo-finish showed "This is Why Democracy Fails" edging out "We've Been Rob-bed" and "It's Okay We're Trying to Lose. " Many congrats also goes out to the team of two from Wimbledon's Finest, who won the beer round. Yay for FREE beer and Trivia Tuesdays at Mikkeller DTLA. Yet another epic night of laughter, beer, and trivia on Tuesday at Mikkeller DTLA, everyone's favorite cafe turned beer hall. If your team included a Zoologist or a Chemist, you were in luck this week. The Free Bird Radicals doubled down twice in the highest value rounds and were able to take home the grand prize (beer, t-shirts, and more). The FREE beer round (yes, I said FREE BEER) came down to a tie-breaking question for 4-teams. Team BEER ME was victorious and their excitement was likely heard in Orange County. Congrats to Menace II Sobriety and Poop in Leggings for taking home the second and third place prizes (beer, t-shirts, coffee and more). An epic night of beer and trivia took place this past Tuesday at Mikkeller, one of the finest breweries in all of DTLA. All 11 teams began the night hoping the hops would lead them to victory, but it was "Quizz Stains" that ended up the hoppiest of them all. Doubling up in the beer round quenched their thirst and doubling up in another two rounds led them to victory. Second place was filled by Full House Big House, a group that was rumored to be working on a plan to bust out Aunty Becky. The 3rd place position was jockeyed for the entire night. The difference between the next three positions (4th, 5th, and 6th) was one point. Are Cats Smarter Than Us took him the bronze and the 4-pack of beer that went along with it. Great beer and even better trivia returns to Mikkeller DTLA next Tuesday... hop to see you there.
