- PUB QUIZ—Wednesdays @ 7:00pm
The rain didn’t stop 8 stellar teams from showing up to Three Weavers tonight for King Trivia!
We kicked off the night with a good mix of General Knowledge questions in round one, and got real cute in round 2 as teams had to identify the movie from the penguins shown in our Picture round.
Round 3 was a little different and a lot of fun as teams had to guess whether the character given was from Star Trek, The Goonies, or both, and they all did a great job identifying the famous singer we were looking for in round 4, our Guess Who round.
Round 5 was a got a little “sticky” (ba dum tsst) as teams tried to Find the Connection, and we got “testy” in round 6 as teams had to match the scales or test to what they measure in our Matching round.
After round 7 in which teams had to name 5 of the top 10 Japanese companies on the Fortune 500 list, and the 5 most abundant elements in the Sun, Maddie and the Knights emerged victorious in first place, with If Only the Guns Were Wearing Dresses, Maybe Then They’d Do Something About Them coming in second and Inglewood, Always Hops to No Good coming in third!
Despite the cold and rainy weather, we had a wonderful night of King Trivia here at Three Weavers!

Six teams started the night off strong with round 1, our General Knowledge round, and then had their trivia trivia tested in round 2 as they had to identify the trivia game in our Picture Round.
Round 3 was a fun one as teams got to answer questions all about Eminem and the Winter Olympics, and though it was tough, the teams did an excellent job guess the famous actor/singer we were looking for in round 4, our Guess Who round.
The players had some fun with their answers in round 5 as they had to find the connection, and in round 6 they had their geography knowledge tested as they had to match the country to its longest border nation.
We got musical in round 7 as teams had to name the 10 songs from Disney or Pixar animated movies that have won the Oscar for Best Song, and after two back-to-back double-or-nothing rounds, This is Not a Team took home the first place prize, with Tiny Handcuffs and Champagne coming in second, and The Richards in a close third!

Thanks to DST, we got to kick off our King Trivia this evening in the last bit of daylight at Three Weavers!
9 teams started off answering General Knowledge questions in round 1, and then did an excellent job identifying the person associated with Chicago in round 2, our Picture round.
Round 3 was a fun one as teams answered questions all about people named Mike and words that end with “-ike”, and I was very impressed by one team in our Guess Who round who was able to guess the famous person we were looking for after the first clue!
The great answers rolled in round 5 as teams tried to Find the Connection between all the answers, a connection that happened to be sitting right there on the bar (in the form of a Lucky Charms cookie)!
Romance was in the air in round 6 as players matched the fictional character to their love interest, and in honor of St. Patrick’s Day on Friday, round 7 had teams naming Liam Neeson’s Top 10 movies at the U.S. box office.
It all came down to a tiebreaker question for first place, but ultimately the newcomers Death By Potholes emerged with the win, with Inglewood, Always Hops to No Good! coming in second and The Cougars coming in third!
