Let's all take a minute and appreciate Round 3 tonight. While many players loathe any mention of sports in their questions, tonight's round contained 3 - count 'em, 3! - sports questions covering MLB MVP's, NFL coaches and World Series games. At a sports bar. This is what casual players pray for. They don't know their Ariana Grandes from their Meghan Trainors or their Star Wars from their Star Trek but our occasionally curmudgeony older players will always make a comment if no sports questions appear. Tonight, that wasn't an issue. And tonight, at Barney's - a sports bar - three of those curmudgeons (that we all so deeply love) were ecstatic. Until they got ALL THREE sports questions wrong. James, Robert and Donovan - I am officially calling all three of you out by name on a website that you probably wouldn't be able to find because your flip phones don't even connect to the Internet (as you remind me every time you grace us with your presence). All three of the sports questions from the guys who can tell you Babe Ruth's RBI and Joe Namath's record yardage. But nope, they don't remember who threw the 1919 World Series even though they were probably the only three people in the bar who were alive at that time. Gentlemen, ask and ye shall receive but be careful what you wish for... better luck with naming Pink's Top 10 Billboard Hot 100 songs next week.

Live by the sword. Die by the sword. You can rise and fall with double or nothing and for Team 2, a couple of double or nothing misses - by just one question each time - put them out of the running for 1st Place. Team 3 made a run for 2nd place, but faltered in the final round. Great fun this Thanksgiving weekend.
As the day where families sit around a table to devour a bird too fat to fly away from the hands of the grocery store industry, it seemed only appropriate that this week's DRINKING ROUND CHALLENGE involved a True or False game centered around your racist uncle's favorite holiday: Thanksgiving.
Armed with two little sheets of paper (for TRUE and FALSE, respectively) players had to decide whether a statement was... well, true or false. They learned that only wild turkeys can fly. That Canada does indeed also celebrate Thanksgiving - but they had theirs way back in October (seriously, doesn't October feel like a lifetime ago?) We learned that contrary to what they taught us in our elementary school social studies class, the first Thanksgiving did NOT take place at Plymouth Rock. Macy's was not the first department store to host a big parade and - interestingly enough - turkeys can not pull a full Exorcist but can only turn their head 270 degrees. Science!
Lots of new (some may say "useless" facts... I wouldn't) information to be gleaned tonight here at trivia where you're always learning... and sometimes winning money all because of these (some may say "useless" facts... I wouldn't) great little factoids!
