Unpopular opinion: I don't care that the Dodgers lost.

It's a selfish, unpopular opinion. Yes, I hail from the East Coast and while I'll throw up some applause for the boys in blue - I root for the real boys in blue: the Yankees. But to be even more fair, I'm not a baseball fan. It's boring, it's long, it's only redeeming factor is cheap hot dogs when you go to the games. But the Dodgers losing means that the World Series is over. After having to administer several "silent rounds" or sit around TV's and wait for games that never ended it feels incredibly freeing to know that we'll be able to start all of our games on time again. Sorry baseball/Dodgers fans - as much as I despise the Red Sox, I was really rooting for them in Game 5.

Tonight wasn't just good because the World Series has had a stake driven in its heart but because we got a real solid game in amongst some fierce bloodthirsty competitors. Neck in neck in neck throughout most of this evening's game, teams were angling for first place from the get-go. Unfortunately, there's only room for one at the top. After a photo scavenger hunt that led us to discover a Coors Light shark and some really random vinyl records, three teams emerged as the frontrunners. But the deciding factor here was college education. Yes, for once, the English majors were given the advantage here as they dug deep into the recesses of their brains to remember their liberal arts teachings and their Walt Whitman poems. After that? It was all over. A winner had been pre-selected from round 5 forward and everyone else was just fighting for 2nd place. Congrats, readers!
