A momentous night of ups and downs.  Teams gambling it all only to unceremoniously lose their attempt at a double.  Tie breakers.  Broken glasses.  Audio round challenges.  And a farewell from your favorite quizmaster (for 9 weeks, you'll be fine).

Thank you to all of MY favorite regulars who always know how to ramp up the tension, the drama, and the fun of trivia night.  Will miss you all dearly (for 9 weeks) and then we'll end the summer with a whole new beginning.

Someone once told me that there is no greater glory than winning trivia.

Not graduating from medical school.  Not raising a child.  Not scoring a lead in the next Avengers film.  Not accidentally being sexted by Judi Dench.  Not buying a neon green Ferrari.  Not training a monkey to say "Where are my pants?" Not nabbing a Fast Pass for the new Guardians ride at Disneyland.  Not winning the lottery with the Lost numbers.  Not discovering Judi Dench has a secret crush on you.  Not creating the world's very first workable lightsaber.  Not mastering Bane's voice from Dark Knight Rises.  Not making out with Judi Dench at a bus stop in the middle of May while light rain pours down around you.  Not being the one who gets to wield the Fire ring to summon Captain Planet.  Not having Dame Judi Dench lick your ear in the back booth of the local McDonalds.

That person was right.  A trivia win is worth more than all of those things.

And it's the only way you could ever hope to get Oscar Winner Judi Dench to notice you.

Even when you don't win, a victory over the drinking round challenge can lead to free S'mores.  And let's face it: what's better than free S'mores.

Nothing.  Nothing is better than free S'mores.

Well, I guess winning the first place gift card AND the drinking round (aka free S'mores) is probably better than just the singular aforementioned dessert treat.

You know what else is great?  Being able to pat yourself on the back for making it through at least two rounds of the 3rd Annual Drinking Round Spelling Bee - which all of our chosen contestants managed to pull off!  Of course, all of the words came from 8th grade Spelling Bees but...
