On this lovely summer evening, the competition was hot, even if the temperature wasn't! We tested our teams knowledge of snack foods, written languages, and US presidents, among other topics.
Several teams battled for prizes tonight, but the last few rounds catapulted "Four Oppressed White People and a Brown Guy" into second and "It’s all Ogre now" with a SHOCKING final round double!
Congrats to Cheddar Traditioñal for not losing, and taking home some wonderful prizes!
Also there were a lot of dogs tonight. Like...a LOT. Someday I will get to pet all the dogs.

Summer is officially here at Big Stump and our teams tonight were feeling the heat, figuratively, but not literally as it was a gorgeous evening here in midtown, Sacramento!
Our teams were tested on their knowledge of Happy Hours, Burgers, Hall of Fame's and former French monarchs. It was close ALL evening, with almost every team just being a few point away from each other. At the end, it came down to a tie-breaker in which EVERY team assumed that Americans eat WAAAAAAY more beef than they do!
"You Can't Sit With Us" ended up winning the tie breaking question with "BOGO Fridays at Coathangers.biz" taking home second place.
In a SHOCKING turn of events, "Adam Sandler’s Academy Award for Uncut Gems" took next-to-last for the FOURTH week in a row and currently holds the house record for most winningest losers!

On this, the second longest day of the year (tied) the competiton was STRONG at Big Stump Brewing Company! We tested everyones knowledge of famous Freds, comfort food, and museums. Several teams fought for first and second place and we even had a rare tiebreaker question!
You Could Never proved that they knew which bear was best and took home first place. David Bowie’s 3rd Nipple and Henry Kissinger's Various Horcruxes tied for second and in a CLOSE tiebreaker, DB3N ended up taking the prize.
And apparently for the 3rd week in a row, Adam Sandler’s Academy Award for Uncut Gems took next to last place. Congrats to the team that seems to have perfect the art of ALMOST losing!
