QUIZ RECAP

T'was a fine autumn night for a trivia contest. 

The eve started innocently enough, with Half Flaked taking the first Double of the evening. However, their lead proved to be short lived, as several contenders emerged to challenge their wits! Aha!

As the sun set, the competitors grew hungry, mostly for pizza and ale, but also for BLOOD*!!

Upon the onset of darkness, our 10 teams slowly battled it out, with a winer....sorry....winner finally emerging! Eternally Third, was finally able to overcome their forsaken name and took first with a thorough knowledge of sins. Half-Flaked took second, despite having half a team because the other half....flaked and The Communistics took a distant third, thus proving that communism indeed does not pay. Perhaps they can distribute their $1 coupons to the other teams.

Having only 5 teams tonight didn't make the competition any tougher tonight!

Big Prick Energy and Steve Urkels Massive Schlong battled it out during the first part of the game only to have a few unsuccessful doubles ruin things. 

I think at some point in the evening every team was in first place! At the end of the night, Big Pricks knowledge of the UN proved to be their best weapon, tying things up and forcing a tiebreaker. Its too bad they forgot that there were FIVE Pirates of the Carribean movies!

This error cost them first place with Lemon, It's Wednesday barely finishing first (and holding up their league play score!), with Big prick energy coming in second and relative newcomers Beerheads Deluxe a close third. 

But the REAL winner was my new friend Houdini, an awesome 13 year old Dachsie who knew ALL the answers, but remained silent the entire game!

Tonight's trivia at Big Stump was a real nail-biter, on this Bilbo and Frodo's Birthday!

David Bowie's Third Nipple took an early lead with a successful double in the first round and held on to it for most of the game until 2 Guys, a Girl, and a Trivia Place were also able to double and take the lead away from them in the 6th round. What resulted was an epic battle between teams with 2 guys holding on to first and DB3N taking second. 

Relative newcomers (to Big Stump, not to life) Beerhead Deluxe used their collective 300 years of knowledge to take 3rd place. 

There were also a lot of good dogs this week. As always, Big Stump is dog friendly so feel free to bring your dogs. Please. Please bring your dogs.
