QUIZ RECAP

Wednesday night on November 6th 4 teams joined us at College Bar & Grill for our weekly trivia night! The teams with us last night included Ballz, Hopefully Not Last, Team Lemons, and Epstien Didn't Kill Himself.

Our teams started off quite strong in Round 1 for General Knowledge. At the end of the first round Ballz was in first with 7 points, just behind them with 6 points was Hopefully Not Last, in third with 5 points was Team Lemons, and in fourth was Epstien Didn't Kill Himself with 2 points.

As winter approaches we thought that it would be fun if in Round 2 our teams attempted to name the arctic animals shown in the images. Our most commonly missed image was of the ermine for which many teams wrote a ferret.

The theme of Round 3 was that either the word hill or hills would appear in either the question or the answer. Our teams either got 4 or 3 points in this round. By the end Ballz and Hopefully Not Last were tied for first place with 15 points, Team Lemons was in second with 13 points, and in third was Epstien Didn't Kill Himself with 11 points.

Round 4 this week was a Guess Who. Hopefully Not Last and Team Lemons were both incorrect meaning both of their teams lost a point for their incorrect answer. However, Ballz were able to guess correctly after our second clue, giving them 8 points. Epstien Didn't Kill Himself was able to guess correctly after our fourth clue which gave their team 4 extra points. Our mystery person was Dave Franco.

Our Find the Connection in Round 5 was a bit tricky this week as all of the answers linked together through a certain song. Unfortunately none of our teams were able to correctly guess the song, they did do quite well in the round! At the end of this round in an interesting turn of events, Hopefully Not Last, Team Lemons, and Epstien Didn't Kill Himself were all tied for second with 19 points each! Ballz was still in first now with 24 points.

Round 6 asked our teams to match up the president to their amount of time in office. Epstien Didn't Kill Himself chose to play their Double or Nothing in this round, unfortunately it did not work out for them as they missed a few of the match ups, meaning they did not earn any points for this round.

Our final round this week asked the teams to list 10 of the 14 studio albums released by U2. 3 of the 4 teams did not write down answers for this round as they only knew a few songs by U2. But Team Lemons was able to come up with at least 3 of the albums!

At the end of the game Epstien Didn't Kill Himself was in fourth place with 21 points, in third was Hopefully Not Last with 25 points. In second, Team Lemons with 27 points, and in first was Ballz with a total of 28 points.

QUIZ RECAP

The bar was full of lively spirits the night before Halloween as 6 teams came to test their wicked skills. Our teams included; Pitter Patter, Twitches, balls, I'm Very Moist, #CBOD, and The Washington Girls.

Round 1 tested their general knowledge of all things spooky. After including the points for registered teams Pitter Patter and Twitches were in first place with a tie of 8 points. In second we had #CBOD with 5 points. In third another tie for 4 points between balls and I'm Very Moist. And in fourth we had The Washington Girls with 0 points.

Round 2 asked our players to identify the TV shows by their Halloween episodes. They struggled a bit more in this round with many people identifying Cheers as The Three Stooges. The most amount of points earned in this round was a total of 6 to Twitches.

In Round 3 the theme was a reference to killers or killing. 5 of our 6 teams got every single answer correct and the other team only missed one of the questions. I'm Very Moist chose to play their Double or Nothing for this round and successfully was able to earn 12 additional points for their team. By this point Twitches still held the lead now with 20 points while Pitter Patter and I'm Very Moist trailed just behind in second with 19 points each.

The theme for Round 4 this week was a Guess Who? #CBOD was able to guess correctly after just the first clue, meaning they earned 10 points for their team! Twitches, I'm Very Moist, and The Washington Girls were all able to guess correctly after our second clue earning each of their teams 8 extra points. Pitter Patter was able to guess correctly after our third clue, and balls never turned in an answer for the round. In the end the man we were searching for was none other than Grandfather Spooky Boy, Vincent Price.

Round 5's find the connection was a fun one last night and two teams even played their Double or Nothings in the round. Those teams were #CBOD and Twitches, and luckily for both of them they got all of the answers correct meaning each team earned 20 extra points for their teams! By this point we still had Twitches in first with 48 points while #CBOD was now in second with 45 points. In third was a tie between Pitter Patter and I'm Very Moist each with 33 points. In fourth The Washington Girls with 26 points, and balls in fifth with 14 points as they had dropped out after not turning in their answer sheets for rounds 4 and 5.

We took a moment from the regular stresses of trivia to play a Spooky Survey Slam! After asking the teams 6 (mostly) Halloween related questions Pitter Patter was our winner with 13 points! In second was #CBOD with 12, Twitches in third with 10 points, and The Washington Girls in fourth with 8 points.

Round 6 asked the players to match the opening lines to the correct horror novel they come from. The Washington Girls and Twitches each earned the most amount of points in this round with each of them earning 8 extra points.

Our final question for the evening asked what were the 10 highest domestic grossing films based on Steven King novels. This round was also a toughy. Pitter Patter decided to play their Double or Nothing in this round and unfortunately were not able to gain any additional points to close out our game.

In the end, Twitches placed first with a total of 63 points. Behind them in second was #CBOD with 55 points, in third Pitter Patter with 41 points. Fourth went to The Washington Girls who finished the game with 38 points. Fifth went to I'm Very Moist with 33 points, and finally in sixth place was balls with 14 total points.

QUIZ RECAP

Wednesday night at College Bar & Grill we had 3 teams face off in trivia. Our teams for the evening included, Redbull + Gang, Pitter Patter, and Battle Monkey Surgeons.

The General Knowledge for Round 1 seemed to not be very common knowledge as all of our teams struggled a bit during this round. After including points for registered teams Pitter Patter and Battle Monkey Surgeons were tied in first for 4 points while Redbull + Gang sat in second with 1 point.

Round 2 asked the teams to identify the celebrities in the images while they were playing sports. Pitter Patter was able to correctly identify all of them which allowed their team to gain 8 points. Battle Monkey Surgeons were able to guess 5 of them and Redbull + Gang were able to get 3 of them.

The theme for Round 3 was that household appliances would appear somewhere in the question or answer. Battle Monkey Surgeons had almost gotten all 6 answers correct but last minute scratched out the correct answer for a new one! By this point in the game Pitter Patter remained in first place, now with 16 points. In second, Battle Monkey Surgeons with 14, only a few points behind. In third we had Redbull + Gang with a total of 8 points.

This week's Round 4 was a Guess Where. Battle Monkey Surgeons were able to guess the correct answer after our second clue, earning their team a total of 8 points! Pitter Patter and Redbull + Gang also got the answer correct, they both placed their quizsheets in after the third clue meaning they each got 6 points for their teams. By the end of Round 4 Redbull + Gang departed from the game leaving Pitter Patter and Battle Monkey Surgeons fighting for first place and now at a tie of 22 points!

In Round 5 the 2 teams were attempting to find the connection between answers 1-9. Battle Monkey Surgeons were able to get 4 of the answers correct and Pitter Patter answered 9 of the 10 questions correctly! They were able to guess the connection correctly though, which was that all the answers related to American Idol!

In season for Halloween Round 6 asked the teams to match the horror movie villain to the actor that played them! Pitter Patter was able to match up 7 of the answers correctly, putting them at a total of 38 points, with Battle Monkey Surgeons just slightly behind with 30 points.

Our final question for Round 7 asked what are the top 10 countries with the most railway mileage. In an effort to beat Pitter Patter, Battle Monkey Surgeons chose to apply their Double or Nothing for this final round. Unfortunately 3 of their written answers were incorrect which means that other than the 2 points for turning back in their pen, they did not earn any points.

In the end, we had Redbull + Gang in third place with 14 points. Battle Monkey Surgeons in second with 32 points, and Pitter Patter in first place with a final score of 45 points. Congrats to all our teams!
