College Bar & Grill had an intimate spring break evening of trivia. We had 3 teams competing for their chance at winning gift cards to College Bar. Our teams were The Rock Bottoms, Tobacco Full (AKA The Big Apple), and Team Fujiana Grande. Round 1 proved to be a breeze for these smarty pants with Team Fujiana Grande in first place with 6 points. The (worldly) Rock Bottoms made a sneaky uprising by using their Double or Nothing in Round 2 giving them the lead of 19 points, leaving our other competitors several points behind. Team Fujiana Grande knew their way around the liquor cabinet bringing them only 5 points behind The Rock Bottoms (25) with 20 points after applying their Double or Nothing in this round, and Tobacco Full following shortly behind in third with 14 points. Our Guess Who round was no match for Team Fujiana Grande as they guessed correctly after only two hints, while our other teams unfortunately each lost a point for guessing Hulk Hogan and John Cena. In Round 5 the only team able to find the connection in the questions was The Rock Bottoms bringing them to first place with 30 points. Following closely behind in second place with 33 points was Team Fujiana Grande and Tobacco Full in a distant third with 14 points. In Round 6 it seems our teams were quite familiar with the works of the late Luke Perry with The Rock Bottoms getting every answer correct bringing them up to 40 points and Team Fujiana Grande tailing just behind them at 39 points! In Round 7 Tobacco Full used a last ditch effort for extra points by applying their Double or Nothing bringing them up to 28 points total. However, this was not the end for The Rock Bottoms or Team Fujiana Grande. The two teams found themselves at a tie for first place with 50 points total! One representative from each of the two teams came up to fight for their place as champion to end the tie breaker. Unfortunately neither team representative guessed correctly, but as The Rock Bottom's final answer was closest to the correct answer they won the tie breaker giving them 51 points for the match!

Wednesday evening at College Bar & Grill 3 teams competed in this weeks King Trivia night! Our 3 teams included; Les Lunettes (AKA The Big Apple), Rising Mac, and The Retired Lesbians (AKA AllThe_SmallTings@HotMail.Net). Most of our teams had a slow start in Round 1 but picked up the pace in Round 2 with many of the players knowing their way around an alcoholic beverage cup. Round 3 was another tough round for this group with the most points earned in that round being just 5 points! The end of Round 4 led to a very close tie between The Retired Lesbians and Rising Mac with a difference in just a single point! However The Retired Lesbians made a smart play in Round 5 by applying their Double or Nothing giving them a total of 18 points for the round and a strong lead of 37 points, with Rising Mac at 26 points and Les Lunettes at 16 points. Unfortunately, Rising Mac dropped out of the game after Round 5 leaving just two teams competing in the final 2 rounds. The last 2 rounds also proved to be a bit of a challenge for these remaining teams but Les Lunettes was able to reach up to 26 points creating a tie between them and Rising Mac. As Rising Mac had dropped out of the game Les Lunettes were the winners of the tie leaving them with 27 points and in 2nd place by the end of the match with The Retired Lesbians sitting comfortably in first place with their 49 points.

On Wednesday February 13th, also known as Galintine's Day, King Trivia hosted their 3rd event at Tempe's College Bar & Grill. We had 5 teams playing for their chance to win College Bar gift cards! Our teams struggled in round 1 with the maximum amount of points earned being 4 points to Your New Stepdad. These Stepdads seemed to be well versed in their Saturday morning cartoons as they got all the answers for round 2 correct, as well as using their Double or Nothing giving them the lead with 20 points! The remaining teams started catching up in rounds 5 and 6 with Titty Titty Bang Bang reaching 24 points in round 6 and a tie for third place at 21 points to Buy Booze and C's Get Degrees. Unfortunately the team Hill Billy's with Little Weenie dropped out in round 5 leaving our other 4 teams to fight to the finish! Our 4 remaining teams competed well in those last 2 rounds, but with Your New Stepdad's lead from the beginning they were our clear winner while the remaining 3 teams finished off with only a few points difference from making or breaking their victories for second, third and fourth place.
