It was so, so, SO nice to be back to GOAL after a two-week break! We all felt so re-energized after Thanksgiving and now we all excited for the holidays! 🙂
It's beginning to feel a lot like...
...the most wonderful day of the week is Wednesday because that's trivia night!
We saw four successful double downs in a row for Round 2, each team getting the Pools connection in Round 5, and every team but Epstein didn't kill himself doubling down in Round 7, leading to a win from Epstein didn't kill himself!
Fun fact -- Dustin used to play under the team name, the Crams but he's now changed his team name.
Round 7 came down to a tie between Spicey Meat-a-Ball and I Lost My Virginity At... and I Lost My Virginity At... ended up getting the closer number to the total of employees at Disneyland Resort!
Congrats to all my wonderful teams -- and we also saw Danielle & Diana joining in at Round 6 so shout-out to them and hope they come back for the full game!
We had a very enjoyable Survey Slam-themed Drinking Round where everyone thought that New York would be the worst place to be stuck during a zombie apocalypse.
Everyone also loved the question -- Would you rather start every sentence with "Hi idiot!" or end every sentence with "Just kidding!"
Occupational Surnames was also a super fun Round 3 and props to Goal Regulators for turning in their Ian McKellan Guess Who? right at ten points!
All in all, can't wait for next week 🙂
Goal Sports Cafe is a special place, and has very awesome clientele. Since the regular teams were m.i.a., other regular customers joined in with me on the fun, made up two teams, and shared their knowledge, playing King Trivia for their first time.
Right Up Your Ally, won with 55 points, and also won the drinking round. They bravely went for double or nothing on the picture round, which helped put them in the lead to win that juicy $50 gift card. Also fun fact about their team name, they named it after bartender, and sweetheart, Ally, who welcomed me, and helped me settle in. Second place team, John Triviolta, did really well for having doubted themselves at first. They received a $25 gift card, after earning 46 points, and put up a heck of a game! If they would've gone double or nothing on the picture round as well, they would have won the game, they had all the answers right too! I guess that's how we learn. I appreciate all the participants for being so nice, and so much fun. They truly made my night!
Thank you for having me Goal Sports Cafe, at your service any time!

We had an amazing night for my first ever night working trivia at Goal Sports Cafe! The teams fought it out until the very end, working through a tie breaker and one of the closest games I've ever seen. Our Drinking Round asked the team representatives to guess how old Britney Spears was to the day: we saw anywhere from 3,600 to over 33 thousand, but the winner went to Mark Dellham Sucks with 14,000 (her real age is 13,967 days)! Fun fact, if she was 3,000 days old, she'd be a little less than 9 years old!
A couple of questions really stumped the group...during the "Love Ya, Olivia" round, there were many guesses to who #7 would be. We saw Wayne, Reed, Adams, Johnson...but the answer is Olivia de Havilland! This actress is currently 103 years old, maybe I should've asked how many days old she is!?
Another funny moment happened during Round #5. On the 9th question which reads "Last name first and first name last: Who starred in the films Goosebumps and Nacho Libre?" all of the teams laughed and scrambled to write it down in the correct manner. The teams loved the creativity of the answer "Black, Jack" and it helped them figure out the connection!
There was a TIE for third place between Spicey Meat-A-Ball and India with both being asked how old Jonathan the tortoise is (randomly similar to the Drinking Round question...). Spicey answered 323 years and India answered 140 years with the answer at 187! So India took the prize!
Second place went to our drinking round winners, Mark Dellham Sucks! Unfortunately, most of the team left quickly, but I was able to snap a picture of two of the smiling members!
And...Truman Was A Very Good Boy (also known as Tapioca Pudding) won first place after successfully doubling in two rounds in a row!!
Thanks for being such an awesome, informative and FUN group tonight everyone! Looking forward to the next time we can all play together and see who comes out on top!
