ZOOM THEME EVENT: THE MANDALORIAN RECAP

4 teams of 15 players faced off in this Mandalorian themed Trivia event! Ready to test their knowledge and compete for victory. This is the way.

We had Clan Ruddhorn made up of 7 college students, The Bad Batch with 4 people, Yoada's Choadas with 3 people (fellow KT Quizmasters), and The 501st with 1.

Clan Ruddhorn took the lead in Round #1 and kept it throughout the game. Yoada's Choadas doubled or nothing successfully one round and was behind the lead by only 1 point. The 501st and The Bad Batch began with a tie for 3rd place and were close through the rest of the rounds.

Placing first was Clan Ruddhorn! In second was Yoada's Choadas, in third was the 501st, and in fourth was The Bad Batch. It was a very friendly game and everyone had a blast. Great job to everyone.

QUIZ RECAP

A warm welcome back to everyone and to our familiar faces! We all had blankets and Snuggies ready and gathered by our heaters for our heated game.

To start, we also got a chance to congratulate Brian for Let's Make a Deal because his 70-inch TV is coming just in time for the Super Bowl, and Karla celebrated Australia Day!

For our audio round tonight, you got a point, you got a point, you got a point! If you got Oprah for that first talk show host 🙂

And our teams all took "a pizza" the prize with Find the Connection.

We had ties all night, but when it came down to the final round, we had yet another tiebreaker!

New team Insert Name Here -- Bobby and Erin -- held down the fort between the two of them and came head-to-head against Digressionary Funds.

And...Insert Name Here knocked our regular leaders off that leaderboard -- and now everyone can't wait to challenge them again next week. Bobby insisted it was the Atlanta trivia sprinkled in tonight -- and also remarked on how everyone seemed cozy and tight-knit.

ZOOM THEME EVENT: 90S MUSIC RECAP

A night of throwbacks (and WiFi outages) complete with Palm Pilots, Alannis Morissette, and Belle and Sebastian cover art turned out to be an incredibly tight race between competitors who remembered - and loved - the 90s!

From discussions about the worth of CDs to jokes about Def Leppard, our players enjoyed a night set to the tunes of No Doubt and Chumbawumba as they answered questions and listened to audio clips from some of their favorite 90s music bands and artists. With a five-way tie for first halfway through the game, No Diggity managed to emerge victorious in Round 3 as they successfully navigated the connection and managed to correctly guess Rage the Machine as a self titled album to avoid a tie and dominate the competition.
