QUIZ RECAP

It was a happy Hallo-week here at King Trivia on Zoom!

We saw Taking Care of Quizness's ADORABLE doggo dressed as a dinosaur this week -- and new team Toasted Ponies.

We were also very happy to see Mark and Cindy join from Mindhunter again this week 🙂

And we saw a lot of exciting twists and turns -- with a four-way tie immediately after our first round of General Knowledge.

Then, everyone named songs featuring body parts in the titles for the audio round, aptly themed Your Body is a Wonderland.

And we saw Digressionary Funds and Zima: Warrior Princess going head-to-head for the lead.

With the third round, we had our It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown -- and we know you all want to share your carved pumpkins so share them indeed! And if you haven't carved one yet, you still got time!

Our fourth round was scary fun -- and we saw Zima: Warrior Princess take the lead with back-to-back wins! We're so happy to see everyone, familiar faces and new ones, every week! And you'll see our Halloween family photos above.

I raise my pumpkin spice chai tea to a terrifically October toast to all of you 🙂

ZOOM THEME EVENT: BASEBALL! RECAP

There was no whiffing tonight -- as all of our teams knocked it out of the park for Baseball Trivia Thursday smack-dab in the middle of the World Series!

First pitch, I mean first q, was right at 7:05 and all of our players were ready to step up to the plate.

The audio round was a bona fide hit as we all reminisced over the greatest calls in baseball history -- and named the player at the heart of each hit heard 'round the world.

Our Find the Connection spelled out Cy Young -- and our picture round asked to name the teams based on their classic, not contemporary, logos.

Looks like we did throw some curveballs out there for you tonight -- and by the end of the night, everyone wanted extra innings!

I could tell you're all real baseball fans by that 🙂

No game is too long, amIrite?

And just like in our favorite nail-biting, hat-turning innings, the game came down to the last round to determine our winner.

Throughout the night, Shrek and Digressionary Funds kept chasing each other -- and Harry Caray's Sombreros.

Despite how they almost didn't get their answer sheet for Round 4 in time, when the dust settled, Harry Caray's Sombreros were deemed safe and our winners of the night!

Also, it was great to chat with Erin, my fellow SF Giants fan, who named her dog POSEY!!!

Posey couldn't stop tail-wagging to the sound of Taylor Swift's beats because hey -- remember, every year Tay releases a new album, the G's win a Ring.

And David, who's related to Babe Ruth very distantly learned a lot from his team -- while his captain Andrew sported both Astros and Mets hats!

It was so great to see jerseys and colors galore -- because hey, if we can't be taken out to the ballgame, at least we can be taken out to the Zoom game 🙂

Also huge shout-out to Harry Caray's Sombreros team member who said great job and is officially the nicest Dodgers fan I've ever met! I guess there are outliers, huh?

QUIZ RECAP

While Sanyee works on her curveball for Thursday's Baseball Themed Night, I slipped out of the shadows of Tech Director and took over the Tuesday reins for a very very close game of trivia. Although we kicked off our first round with every team successfully answering all 6 questions correctly, five teams were tied with a double! But those numbers began trickling off as that tie eventually became a sweep for Zima: Warrior Princess who dominated the game with double after double after double after double leading to an ultimate clean sweep! Fun was had as we switched up our music round with some movie quotes that both delighted and stumped teams and - much to the delight of Smarty Pants - there was only one sports question to throw a wrench into their score. Another great Tuesday - we'll see you all next week!
