ZOOM THEME EVENT: BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER! RECAP

Last night, during their graveyard rounds, teams grabbed their Mr.Pointy and got ready to stake their claim as the Chosen One in our Buffy the Vampire Slayer trivia night! But there can only be one...

As we identified demons, forgotten boyfriends, and gone-too-soon high school teachers, our players sought the Key to victory - who would wind up an esteemed Glorificus icon and who would be quietly snuffed out by a librarian? Halfway through our game, Those Bastards and The Softer Side of Sears were our Kendra and Faith, both doubling successfully, and headed towards a final confrontation that would bury one of them six feet under. However, after a grueling final round of identifying Buffy baddies (and some Angel ones, too) "The Gift" of winning went to the appropriately named Those Bastards who slayed the competition.

Thanks to everyone for digging themselves out of the ground to come compete and we'll see you at the next one. Until then, keep it five by five.

QUIZ RECAP

We had such a great pre-Thanksgiving week trivia night!

As we all noted, time has lost all meaning at this point -- but we still have loads to be thankful for.

We heard folks being thankful for alcohol, turkey stuffing, and Karla said -- being able to play trivia!

Which I wholeheartedly agree with, for all of the above 🙂

We saw a lot of lighthearted smack talkin' today via scoresheets and in the chat -- with Zima: Warrior Princess starting those fighting words.

But, there was peace and love with the Beatles Audio Round and the Crayola Crayons Color connection that we all agreed was rougher because everyone needed to be more specific than colors alone.

We roared through those pictures of films with scenes in the kitchen, though -- especially Ratatouille which is the only movie to ever glorify rats in the kitchen.

Happy Early Thanksgiving to everyone -- I am thankful I get to see your faces every Tuesday!

ZOOM THEME EVENT: FOOTBALL! RECAP

Touchdown, We Are Who We Think We Are!

Our teams gathered on the field, huddled together, and devised a plan to gain as much yardage as possible in Thursday's Football Zoom Trivia! Amid some solid passes and plays, some teams managed to fumble a Double or Nothing and wound up needing to throw a Hail Mary in the second half of the game. Even without a Shakira, Beyonce or wardrobe malfunction - our Thursday Night Football was full of cheering and team pride but only one could go on to collect their Heisman trophy at the end of the night.
