About Paragon

Allen Adams was born and raised in Los Angeles’ San Fernando Valley and has over twenty years of experience in the restaurant, nightclub and bar business. Allen cut his teeth managing the The Shark Club in downtown LA. While working at the Shark Club, Allen learned the importance of treating customers in such a way that garnered incredible loyalty and a multitude of return clientele. Allen moved on to be the bar manager of the Seafood Broiler and Milano’s Italian kitchen. Allen always strived to create a personable environment where the customer would feel comfortable and want to be a part of. He always puts the customer’s needs first and foremost. Allen decided after years of being in the business to venture out and open the Paragon Bar and Grill. Along with partner “CJ” Willis, their goal was to create a place in Northridge that would give the feel of going to Hollywood or Downtown, without the long drive or potential pretentiousness.

Everything we do here at Paragon Bar and Grill is prepared fresh, from our handmade cocktails, to our snacks and all of our food. Our menu was created by executive chef Greg Schroeppel. Greg has worked with Wolfgang Puck and has done a great job putting a menu together for you. Our goal is to provide the best service, drink and food in the Valley.

“Great Bar, Great Food”

A nearly full house showed up for Paragon trivia this week and everyone was eager to win those prizes!

Lots of teams correctly doubled down on the general knowledge round leading to a tight top of the pack in the early part of the evening

We've Got Nothing repeatedly did their name dirty by being in first place for large portions of the evening. Not a bad way to deceive!

They however were close but no cigar as Glengarry Glenn Close closed the night out with a win but did not win a cigar.

What they did win was a Paragon gift card! The second-place team We've Got Nothing will have to change their name to We've Got Wine as that was their second-place prize. Nothing to whine about for sure!

Shrek The Halls got in the holiday spirit and ended up with third place and two stella glasses. Cheers to them!

Twas a wonderful night that shall be repeated next week. Be sure to join in on the fun!

A close game kept tonight's trivia match even more tense and exciting than usual!

We had teams double-down right out of the gate but some tricky later rounds stopped any one team from running away with the win!

Only one team correctly guessed "TV Doctors" as the theme in round five, with an answer being Chandler, leading many to assume it was a Friends theme.

Speaking of friends, the handout round had teams guess which musical artist wrote each song about friendship.

At the end of the night The 2nd Double just narrowly edged out Glengarry Glenn Close, stopping them from winning two weeks in a row.

Though FinFans came in fourth, the third-place team headed out early, so I'd like to give FinFans the Quizmaster Spirit Award, which is something I just made up.

Anyway, a lovely time was had by all.

Game Rank Team # Team Name Score Teams Beaten Team Beat Average
1 40460 The 2nd Double 47 3 1.000
2 10016 Glengarry Glenn Close 44 2 0.667
3 30072 We’ve got nothing 25 1 0.333
4 40462 FinsFans 19 0 0.000

Tonight saw the Paragon trivia teams do what they do best; play trivia at Paragon.

A fun game with some surprisingly tricky questions kept the energy high and the vibes good.

This week's picture round had teams complete the Jurassic task of identifying dinosaurs from the Jurassic Park franchise. It was a tricky round but teams did better than expected, and when they didn't know, gave some lovely wrong answers. If only "Cute Little Guy" was an actual dinosaur name.

Rodger Federer was served up as an answer quickly for the Guess Who round, with only one team guessing wrong!

There was no stopping Westeros Baptist Church, who ended the night with more than double the points of their second-place competitors. Those Double or Nothings really came in handy tonight.

Game Rank Team # Team Name Score Teams Beaten Team Beat Average
1 10016 Westeros Baptist Church 91 2 1.000
2 39597 Beans 41 1 0.500
