About Paragon

Allen Adams was born and raised in Los Angeles’ San Fernando Valley and has over twenty years of experience in the restaurant, nightclub and bar business. Allen cut his teeth managing the The Shark Club in downtown LA. While working at the Shark Club, Allen learned the importance of treating customers in such a way that garnered incredible loyalty and a multitude of return clientele. Allen moved on to be the bar manager of the Seafood Broiler and Milano’s Italian kitchen. Allen always strived to create a personable environment where the customer would feel comfortable and want to be a part of. He always puts the customer’s needs first and foremost. Allen decided after years of being in the business to venture out and open the Paragon Bar and Grill. Along with partner “CJ” Willis, their goal was to create a place in Northridge that would give the feel of going to Hollywood or Downtown, without the long drive or potential pretentiousness.

Everything we do here at Paragon Bar and Grill is prepared fresh, from our handmade cocktails, to our snacks and all of our food. Our menu was created by executive chef Greg Schroeppel. Greg has worked with Wolfgang Puck and has done a great job putting a menu together for you. Our goal is to provide the best service, drink and food in the Valley.

The Irregardless, although choosing not to double in round 1, took the lead right away and never relinquished it.

It's Ogre 9000!!!! and LA Flakers scored well throughout the game, but with neither having the opportunity to double, they could not catch TI.

Flakers did falter slightly in round 6, while Ogre scored high, and that was what decided their places at 3rd and 2nd, respectively. Had either been able to double at any time, they would could have won the game.

Only one successful double happened in this game, and it was in round 7. However, Cheeseheads were too far back to put on a challenge.

Congrats to The Irregardless!!

Tonight's game got off to a mediocre (mediogre?) start. Everyone was doing decently, and with the exception of a failed double in round 2 for Nik, no one was doing terribly, either.

The Guess Who round split the pack, though, with only Irregardless and Shrek scoring (-1 for everyone else!).

Shrek scored solidly in the final three rounds, even missing a chance to double in round 6. This put them solidly on top for the night.

Irregardless was brought down by a lack of geography knowledge in the final round (homework!), but still kept their general scores up high enough to take 2nd.

Sassypants just managed to edge out the rest of the pack to take 3rd!

Dust off those maps and globes, folks!

Game Rank Team # Team Name Score Teams Beaten Team Beat Average
1 17530 Maximum Ogredrive 50 6 1.000
2 16720 The Irregardless 36 5 0.833
3 Sassypants 28 4 0.667
4 14895 Temp Name 27 3 0.500
5 A win for us will come down to a coin flip. 26 2 0.333
6 Starks 16 1 0.167
7 Nik and the Morties 15 0 0.000

Good size group tonight. The game just kind of shuffled along through the first three rounds, with no one really able to take charge. But, this game ultimately never had anyone in charge until the very end.

Rd 4 saw a couple of 8s and a few of -1s, which helped to start opening up the pack. The Irregardless jumped out ahead with a double in rd 5. But, they passed on the double in rd 6 and this was their undoing. They would settle for 4th.

Quiz Khalifa came out of nowhere with a double in rd 5 and another in rd 7 to soar into a tie for 2nd with In For a Jenny, In For a Pound, who hung around until a double in rd 6 vaulted them into the temporary lead.

Maximum Ogredrive also rose from relative obscurity, with a 9 in rd 5 and doubles in rds 6 & 7, to rocket into the lead. Jenny and Quiz squared off for the tie-breaker question. Neither were anywhere close to the correct answer, but Jenny prevailed with the closer guess to take possession of 2nd. Quiz settled for 3rd.

Congrats to Maximum Ogredrive!!
