About Paragon

Allen Adams was born and raised in Los Angeles’ San Fernando Valley and has over twenty years of experience in the restaurant, nightclub and bar business. Allen cut his teeth managing the The Shark Club in downtown LA. While working at the Shark Club, Allen learned the importance of treating customers in such a way that garnered incredible loyalty and a multitude of return clientele. Allen moved on to be the bar manager of the Seafood Broiler and Milano’s Italian kitchen. Allen always strived to create a personable environment where the customer would feel comfortable and want to be a part of. He always puts the customer’s needs first and foremost. Allen decided after years of being in the business to venture out and open the Paragon Bar and Grill. Along with partner “CJ” Willis, their goal was to create a place in Northridge that would give the feel of going to Hollywood or Downtown, without the long drive or potential pretentiousness.

Everything we do here at Paragon Bar and Grill is prepared fresh, from our handmade cocktails, to our snacks and all of our food. Our menu was created by executive chef Greg Schroeppel. Greg has worked with Wolfgang Puck and has done a great job putting a menu together for you. Our goal is to provide the best service, drink and food in the Valley.

The Eagles were still in the process of defeating the Packers, so we started with the Picture Round tonight. 3girls1jack showed right off what kind of game they were playing with a successful double. The Ogres came right back a successful double, but were unable to keep up with 3/1.

A 10-point Guess Who and a perfect score in Find the Connection (even without a double) kept 3girls1jack on top by a significant margin.

The Ogres had their double and solid scores in rounds 4 and 5, but a failed double in round 6 and a low score in the final round meant they took 2nd. They scored a pretty nice prize for 2nd place, though! (see pics)

We've Got Nothing rode nice scores in the mid-game rounds to take 3rd!

1 11130 3girls1jack 60 5 1.000

The top 3 set themselves apart from the rest right at the start, all three successfully doubling in the first and second rounds. Daisies and Jen made a bid to catch up, successfully doubling in round 2, but the top three just proved too difficult to catch.

The Commas added on another double in round 5, a perfect score in round 6, and the highest score in the final round, securing their win.

The Ogres could have caught the winners if they'd doubled in round 5, but they still managed to stay ahead of the rest.

Now accepting just kept good, solid scores through the end of the night, hanging on for the 3rd place spot.

This was probably one of the toughest quizzes I've seen in a while. On the other hand, Mass Effect, "Weird Al" Yankovic, and cheese all came up, so it was like this one was written for me.

The Rogue Turtles started out strong with a successful double in round 1. They faltered quickly, though, with the Flakers passing them in round 4, the Dodgers in round 5, and Shrek in the final round.

The LA Flakers really kicked it into gear with a successful 10-point Guess Who. I was really impressed because to me, there wasn't any useful information in the 10-point clue. Strong scores in every other round (except 2) kept them on top.

The Dodgers took a slow-and-steady approach, faltering a bit in round 3 and 7, but otherwise staying strong to take the #2 slot.

The Ogrecompensating Shrek team started out on the wrong foot with an unsuccessful double in round 1, but their strong scores in 2, 4, 6, and 7, got them into 3rd, just a single point behind the Dodgers.

Game Rank Team # Team Name Score Teams Beaten Team Beat Average
1 14288 LA Flakers 40 6 1.000
2 22672 LA Dodgers of LA 36 5 0.833
3 17530 Ogrecompensating 35 4 0.667
4 22629 A Couple of Sloths 33 2 0.417
4 Rogue Turtles 33 2 0.417
6 Bachelors in Paradise 26 1 0.167
7 12308 We've Got Nothing 8 0 0.000
