About Paragon

Allen Adams was born and raised in Los Angeles’ San Fernando Valley and has over twenty years of experience in the restaurant, nightclub and bar business. Allen cut his teeth managing the The Shark Club in downtown LA. While working at the Shark Club, Allen learned the importance of treating customers in such a way that garnered incredible loyalty and a multitude of return clientele. Allen moved on to be the bar manager of the Seafood Broiler and Milano’s Italian kitchen. Allen always strived to create a personable environment where the customer would feel comfortable and want to be a part of. He always puts the customer’s needs first and foremost. Allen decided after years of being in the business to venture out and open the Paragon Bar and Grill. Along with partner “CJ” Willis, their goal was to create a place in Northridge that would give the feel of going to Hollywood or Downtown, without the long drive or potential pretentiousness.

Everything we do here at Paragon Bar and Grill is prepared fresh, from our handmade cocktails, to our snacks and all of our food. Our menu was created by executive chef Greg Schroeppel. Greg has worked with Wolfgang Puck and has done a great job putting a menu together for you. Our goal is to provide the best service, drink and food in the Valley.

After a basketball-related delay of game, the quiz tonight turned into a fierce battle, tiny mistakes and well-timed doubles keeping everyone guessing!

Six teams successfully doubled on round 2! Irregardless doubled in rounds 2 and 3... and followed up with an incorrect Guess What... and a failed double.

Five teams Guessed What for 10 points! Adding to that 10, Hogwarts took doubles in rounds 2 and 6, added generally-high scores, and took the win tonight!

Shrek's team had doubles in rounds 2 and 3, a 10-point Guess What and generally high scores to easily take 2nd.

The B Sharps (Beeeeee sharps!) successfully doubled in round 2, had a 10-point Guess What, and topped Buddy's by a couple of points, in spite of Buddy's successful doubles in the final 2 rounds.

Graceless, Shrek, Shrimp, and Whiskey set themselves up with successful doubles in round 2. It was Shrek, though, that had a correct Guess Who answer for 10 points followed by a successful double in round 5.

Graceless had an incorrect guess in round 4, failed to capitalize on a perfect score in round 5, and failed the double in the final round by a single answer. Shrimp was up and down with high scores in half the rounds and low scores in the other. Jenniemade a valiant effort with successful doubles in rounds 5 and 6, but then failed the double in the final round, just barely missing the top 3.

Whiskey maintained a steady pace, riding consistently high scores into 2nd place. Oscar, on the other hand, came into the top 3 from behind with a perfect score (although no double) in round 5 and then a successful double in round 6.

Buddy's and Oscar successfully doubled in the first round to take the early lead. Round 3 was rough on *everyone*, with more than half the teams only scoring 1 or 2 points.

It was the Guess Who round that really split the party, though. Buddy's, Feivel, Nothing, and Shrek got it right on the 10-point clue while every other team guessed incorrectly.

Shrek rode high scores into a tie with Buddy's, edging them out on a tie-breaker question. Oscar managed to squeak into third, just barely edging out Nothing.
